- The "Name" space actually looks quite ugly. the font is huge and you cant decide how its formatted its always first name and the first letter of the second name followed by a dot
- you should be able to change the font (of the entire page i mean)
i dont think these changes would lower the benefits you get from going "pro" and still be a good addition to the project
I'm not sure if this has been discussed before, so I'll just throwing it out there:
Pownce allows us to change it's look, for our viewing pleasure, at will with different themes that are available to the user. This is great because this allows us to add a little more of a personal touch to the profiles, but also to escape the rather shocking brownish color (No offense). This is all well and good for strictly web browser users, but if someone wants to use your desktop application they're, yet again, slapped in the face with that old color scheme they so desperately tried to escape.
What I'm thinking of is the ability for the user to choose from different themes that they can dress the application in. For free users I can imagine them having a small assortment of themes that reflect the available themes on the main Pownce website; but for Pro users I've thought of a system that would *possibly* pull the custom themes from the user's profile on the website and dress the application up accordingly.
This would most likely be a rather hard/sophisticated system that someone such as I, a non-developer, could really understand. I think it would just add one more, additional element of customization that would attract more people to Pownce; I love dressing up systems with my own designs and I think it'd be an excellent push for me towards grabbing a Pro membership.
