Cant post any files
I am using the pownce desktop app, on windows vista, and i browse for the file(in this case an .mp3 file), click open, and the file field remains blank and when i click 'post it!' it says 'you should probably select a file to send'.

Inappropriate?This appears to be a problem with Adobe's AIR platform. Hopefully they'll have it fixed in the forthcoming beta release.

Inappropriate?i've got the same problem. after trying to send a file it says "this field is required" (of course it was there - duh) also i'm a little miffed that i can't find the Air prog even though the installer says its there. so lightweight as to be non-existant? should i un-install with the provided un-installer or clean app?

Inappropriate?works good with firefox, but not safari. should've tried that the first day. if yer using IE then switch it up to FF.
no one from the blog suggested that and no employee ever replied.

Inappropriate?I've got the same problem. Also, I'm getting the APIAuth error everytime I log in to the desktop app. Then, I can't select any friends to send stuff to.

Inappropriate?Yep same problem here. I'm on a new intel iMac running 10.5, with the latest Air 2.0 beta. I browse for a file, but after selecting it nothing shows up in the file display area of the pownce application. Hitting send just gives me the same "you should probably select ..." dialogue box. Boo hoo.

Inappropriate?I can't send files either, and I'm not using the app. When I try to send one, nothing happens, no "waiting" motions, or anything, it's like it all just disappears. It looks like I've just refreshed the page. I was going to go Pro, but when I found out this was happening, I figured it's not worth it, until I know I can send files. It's really frustrating. I've emailed help, but I've not really gotten much "help". I wish there was something I could try, but all I get in response is "we'll let the programmers know". SIGH. Very frustrating. :( I can't wait til it's fixed, and I can send files, and go Pro to show my support. I keep my fingers crossed it'll happen one day.

Inappropriate?This is a known issue with Safari that we're currently working on. In the meantime, you can upload files using Firefox. Apologies for the inconvenience.

Inappropriate?I can send files using the Pownce website, but I can't send files when using the Pownce\Adobe AIR application. (I'm running Windows XP SP2 and Adobe AIR beta 2 (released on October 1, 2007))
Here's what happens:
- I click the [File] button on the Pownce\AIR application. :-)
- I click the [Browse] button and select the file to send. :-)
- The file name and path don't get populated in the box. :-( -
Inappropriate?This is a known issue we're working on. In the meantime, you can upload files using the desktop app by dragging them to the app instead of clicking browse. Hope this helps.

Inappropriate?Great, thanks Ariel. There seemed to be some confusion in this thread between the desktop AIR application and the Pownce website when using different browsers (ie - Safari)...so I wanted to make sure I was clear about the issue.
