External links in a new window
Don't you think it's more convenient if the links will open in a new window? (like at Digg)

Inappropriate? That's actually not the default behavior on Digg. You must have switched your settings to enable that. Generally, I'm a strong supporter of not opening links in new windows by default. People can right click and choose to do so explicitly if they wish. I know I don't want a ton of windows open at once.

Inappropriate?Know rite clickr on iPhone.
Personally *I* always open in a new window, err tab. If you don't do this, you go away from the site - in this case - pownce - and you don't really want people leaving now - do you?
I’m kinda amazed by yer thoughts.

Inappropriate?I have to agree. If a link is taking someone away from my site, I generally have the link open in a new window so the user doesn't lose their place.
I will sometimes follow a link that doesn't launch a new window (or tab) and forget it didn't open in a new window then just close the window when I'm done thus losing my original location. This makes me sad.
I’m sad when I lose my place on the internet.

Inappropriate?I personally get very annoyed by websites who believe they should decide for me whether or not to open a link in a new tab/window. I'm quite capable of making that decision myself, thank you very much.
If I want the link to open in the current tab, I'll left-click. If I want it to open in a new tab, I'll middle-click. I'm happy to see Pownce doesn't try to take over control and keeps me in charge.
I’m satisfied.
