Google Chrome fails on file links when not logged in

I am getting error messages on screen in Google Chrome when clicking a file link from email to Pownce when I am not logged in. This is the source of the error message that shows up on my screen:

Once I am logged in I can link with no problem but when I am not logged in and link from email I get this error.
