How can we use Pownce in Academia (In Japan!)
Hi, folks.
I just fired off an email to "info@pownce.com" but I thought I'd try here and see if anyone is available.
I'm working on a project to use Pownce for academic purposes. We will have 4 students and a faculty member in Kyoto, Osaka and Toyko. They will need to post text, audio, and video. This will be funded by a grant and we need to get some quotes together by Thursday.
We would be using the Pro account, so we would sign up for Pownce Pro service. Leah, Kevin, any of the team: please respond as soon as you can. We would like to make this project a real Pownce showcase.
We want to use mobile technology only (cell phones with foldout keyboards for typing), but they also need to have video capability and a camera. We want to be able to post video, audio, images and text from the mobile device directly to the internet.
Does anyone have any suggestions on how we can accomplish this? What mobile devices could we use? What kind of wireless services would we need in Japan?
This is a pilot project, but will be documented and submitted for peer review, and presented on a national level.
Thanks to all,
Kevin

Inappropriate?Hi Kevin,
Sounds like an exciting project! Any mobile phone with a web browser and data plan *should* be able to access and post notes to Pownce. If you're in the process of buying phones, I would recommend asking to test Pownce Mobile ( http://m.pownce.com ) on the web browser before purchasing (in rare cases, the "submit" note button doesn't work). If you have any more questions, please let me know at info@pownce.com . Thanks!
