I cannot get into my account because I keep getting the ack! bug
I am using Firefox and every time I try to log in to reset the password, it comes up with an ack! error. I can't remember my old password.

Are you seeing an error when you try to view your profile?
Does the error say "Ack! We can't find that page." or "Ack! There's a bug in our codes."?

Inappropriate?I'm sorry. I was a bit rushed and realized I hadn't included too much info. I had bookmarked my page with the remember login info during the initial set up of my account and it didn't give me any problems for around 3 days. I was able to follow the bookmarked link and pull up my account already signed in. A few days went by since I last logged in and when I followed the link as usual, it showed the ack! there's a bug in our codes page. I decided to go to the home page and log in. I typed in my user name and the correct password and once again, I received the ack! there's a bug in our codes page. I tried to use safari, firefox and two other computers, one from work, and still got the same ack! page. I then tried several times from various computers to reset my password. I entered my email, hit the send email button, followed the link from the email to reset the password. I typed in a new password, confirmed it and hit the reset password button. I still received the ack! there is a bug in our codes page. I am able to access my page here: http://pownce.com/moey/ with no problems but cannot log in. Please let me know if I am not doing something properly or if there is anything I should troubleshoot on. Thanks for helping me with this issue.

Inappropriate?well i don't think it's a "bug". a believe my account don't have the correct authorization in mysql to rewrite the password or maybe chmod on some files is wrong.

Inappropriate?I'm very disappointed with Pownce, the software is buggy and they are not responsive. The whole idea of having a private beta for such long time was to control the quality of the service while it got up and running, but actually it looks like they are at a loss as to how to deal with the (pretty widespread) ack! bug issue.

Inappropriate?I first sent an email to Pownce last Monday and still haven't had a reply. I really think that the success of any Web 2.0 company or social media company is really going to depend on it's customer (user) support. For instance I had a problem with my Yourminis account and they people there resolved my problem in less than 24 hours. Nearly a week for a reply to my numerous emails to Pownce...? Just not good enough.

Inappropriate?Hi Astorg. It seems like you're very passionate about pownce. And I'm sure the pownce team is appreciative of your feedback.
The fact of the matter is that this product is in early beta, with bugs and feature requests coming in every day. For one I think pownce has been very open and responsive here in Satisfaction, but there is only so much 1 & 1/2 engineers and a part time designer can get done in a day.
I totally understand your frustration (I too am having some ack bug blues.) Pownce is aware of these issues, and like the rockstars they are, they will put these fires out.

Sure. Two comments in that connection.
First, just automating the site to send an acknowledgement that the bug request has been received and will be dealt with (preferably within a certain time) is something even I could manage. A lot of people are getting these ack bugs and some of them must be wasting a phenomenla amount of of the poor Pownce engineers' time by posting multiple tickets about the same issue. This needlessly just compounds the problem from Pownce's perspective.
Second, I have participated in a large number of betas and obviously, I feel the whole point of them is maintaining constant communication between developers and betasters. If there is no response from either of the two parties, the whole point of betatesting is lost.
From that point of view, a one-week time frame without ANY response at all to anyone regarding a pretty serious and, by the looks of it, widespread bug is, well... surprising given the quality one had cme to expect from the high-profile team who set Pownce up.
