I don't know when an event occurs.
When creating an event if asks for the time, but not the time zone. This isn't a problem if it's a physical event in one location in the country. But if it's a release of something online no one knows what time the event starts locally.

Inappropriate?I'm working on implementing time zone info for each user. So you can say what timezone you're in and every event you post will be in that timezone. Then, any friends in other timezones will see the event time in their timezone. Say I post an event at 8pm PST, my sister in Minnesota (CST) will see the event time as 10pm.
Sound good?
