Pownce account deletion is misleading
I want my account *deleted*, not *disabled* ....
As stated in the Pownce FAQ:
How do I remove my account?
You can delete your account in your Settings. Login to your account first, then go into your settings and follow the instructions there. Sorry to see you go!
It clearly states *delete your account*, however, after following the steps and trying to log back in to test, I get a message stating: "This account has been disabled." not the "Username and password do not match." that I was expecting. I would like my account and history DELETED, or, at the very least, clearly state that you do not actually delete accounts, only disable them. This is misleading and unfair.

Inappropriate?Good catch! It should most likely read "mark your account as..." "deleted" and/or "disabled". Apologies for the inconsistency, I will put this on my list to be fixed.

Inappropriate?Ah ? What's the problem with deleting for real ? Inconsistencies in the database ?
I’m surprised

That's probably an issue as well.
It's never really a good idea to completely forget about your account though. The username should be reserved (at least for a couple of months) to prevent username squatting. -
Preserving or reserving an intentionally "deleted" account is not preventing user name squatting. It is user name squatting.
