-
PageZipper has been updated, and this site should work better now. -
zeit.de has since been updatet. THerefore Pageuzipper stopped working. It would be awesome if you could fix it again. -
Inappropriate?http://www.instructables.com
Firefox 3 -
Inappropriate?I forgot to mention:
* PageZipper only works on English web pages.
* PageZipper doesn't work on sites which load the next page using javascript instead of a normal link. -
Inappropriate?http://pitzipoanca.org/ firefox
later: just seen that PageZipper only works on English web page .... too bad
I’m sad
-
Inappropriate?http://images.google.com/ Chrome Windows Vista.
Loads the next page when I click the bookmarklet. Doesn't continually list them though. -
Inappropriate?http://www.empireonline.com/50greates...
Only gets to TV show #47 and then repeats 48 and 47 over and over again.
Safari v 4
I’m confident this will be fixed
-
I'm not sure what could be going on. I tried it on Safari and FF on my machine and PageZipper worked fine. There's nothing on the site which would give PageZipper any trouble. Does it always stop working at #47? -
Inappropriate?http://xbox360.ign.com/articles/968/9...
Basically it would be nice to read the entire article on any ign.com article. Plz add, k thanks
I’m anxious

This url worked for me. Although there is a ton of space between the end of the first page and the beginning of the second page. Is that what you're talking about? I could add a key combination, say control-shift-down that automatically scrolls you down to the top of the next page. Would that help? -
Yea that would help, thanks. Right now it just acts like it always does (or it did for me) where you have to click to the next page of the article -
Inappropriate?http://townhall.com/Columnists/DavidL...
PZ doesn"t work on any of the two_page articles by columnists on townhall>com"s website I use Maxthon; Windows XP

Inappropriate?http://www.wine-art.be/index2.php?pag... (Firefox 3.0.8 with pagezipper plugin on Windows)
-
Just released a new version of PageZipper. This site should work now. -
This site positions everything absolutely. The elements in the page are given exact coordinates to appear at on the screen. When you load the next page, it overlaps the first page. PageZipper does a limited check for this and tries to fix it. But it isn't working for this site. I'll work on improving it. -
Inappropriate?http://www.silencertalk.com/forum/vie...
Loads the "Next Topic" on pages where there is no "Next Page". (The only reason I wanted to use it on the one-page example above was to resize the photos.) On those threads with multiple pages, it works fine. -
This site uses javascript links. PageZipper can't get the url to load from links that call a javascript function instead of including the url. -
Inappropriate?http://www.thestreet.com/story/104816...
Doesn't work for the firefox extension, but the bookmarklet works fine.
In fact, I'm not sure the firefox extension works at all. -
Inappropriate? It'd be nice if this function were also a bookmarklet.

Inappropriate?http://vienna-pyongyang.blogspot.com/...
Is supposed to click on the big red "continue" link, ending up here:
http://vienna-pyongyang.blogspot.com/...
But instead, it ends up here:
http://vienna-pyongyang.blogspot.com/... -
I tried this url in Firefox with the bookmarklet and the extension, and it worked for me. Are you able to get other sites, such as google, to work correctly? -
Yep, it works. -
It works now, but i get pictures of a diamond with a question mark besides the number 1 and the last number. And also, the 360 view does not load/work anymore if you used pagezipper -

Inappropriate?PROBLEM SITE: http://www.thesuperficial.com/
On this site, the Zipper loaded and joined together the following 2 pages, but then when it should have loaded the 3rd, it actually loaded the very first page again, and stopped zipping.
This site has a “NEXT” for clicking through at the bottom of each page. I tested manually clicking the “NEXT” for each page, and it continues further, then where the zipper failed.
I’m happy
-
Thanks! This is occurring because PageZipper is not handling relative links correctly. The first page on the site has the address www.thesuperficial.com Some of the pages after that have the address www.thesuperficial.com/page.php?p=X where X is the page. The links on the page.php pages are in the form Next Page » The problem is that PZ is resolving those links relative the the page its on, www.thesuperficial.com, and getting links like www.thesuperficial.com/?p=4 instead of resolving the relative links to the page they came from, http://www.thesuperficial.com/page.php, and getting links like http://www.thesuperficial.com/page.ph...
I'll fix it in an upcoming release. Thanks for the bug report! -
It works on the homepage. -
Inappropriate? Thanks! It works for a while, but when PZ gets to the page with the "more" tag, it follows that instead of the page number link at the bottom.
-
Inappropriate?http://mangahelpers.com/downloads/rea...
this site organizes images into chapters, with a singly-linked list-like structure between chapters (you can go from ch1->2, but not the other way without going to another page first). when you get past the last page, PZ loads the first image of the next chapter, but then it's an endless loop of the current chapter, starting from p2.
also, if the changes you implement are url-specific, there are other formats like http://mangahelpers.com/s/maximum7/re..., so you might wanna make it valid for http://mangahelpers*readonline* or something similar
otherwise, awesome bookmarklet. -
Inappropriate? Thanks for all the urls, everybody! I'm nearly done adding a couple big new features. PageZipper will soon include a toolbar with buttons to skip to different pages. I know people have complained that when PZ adds the next page, you still have to scroll through all the footer and header content on the page to get to the next bit of the article. PZ will soon include a way to skip past that stuff. Once this new release is out, I will get back to work fixing the urls which have been posted to this board.

fixed in the bookmarklet and the latest version of the addon -
Inappropriate?1. Google Images Australia http://images.google.com/images?hl=en...
Run PageZipper and it reloads the current page, bringing back a blank page and stops.
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
2. DeviantArt http://www.deviantart.com/
Do a search in the search box, and start zipping.
The second page that loads is not the next page when clicking "Next" after the search. I believe it's pulling the "NEXT" from the original page (that shows "popular results") before doing any search.. Plus it only loads one (wrong) page and stops.
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
3.Planet Source Code http://www.planet-source-code.com/vb/...
I can't work this one out. My friend uses it. Sometimes it only does a couple of pages, other times it does 10 (and there are still more to go). After which, it zips some random item from the results (as if you clicked to open it up). Or it opens some other random page.
Also, I don't think it happens in the quick search, but maybe it's to do with the advanced search. I didn't change any options when I tried, just added a term clicked search and clicked zip.
Actually, it does happen in the quick search too.
Also, it happens if you are logged in or not.
I’m thankful

Thanks for the bug report!
1). Google images uses javascript to set the content of the page. When PageZipper adds pages together it messes up the context the javascript expects to run in. Google images uses document.getElementById("ImgContent").innerHTML to dynamically set the content of the page. When PageZipper, appends a second page, suddenly there are two "ImgContent" ids on the page, and document.getElementById("ImgContent") stops working. Unfortunatly there isn't an easy fix for this. I'm working on some ideas, but for now google images doesn't work.
2). The next page on www.deviantart.com links to browse.deviantart.com PageZipper refuses to follow the link since it points to a different domain. If you start at browse.deviantart.com, it works fine. I'll update PageZipper to ignore subdomains in the next release.
3). When I tried it, PageZipper started off getting the next page link from the list of page #'s at the top, like it's supposed to. But then it encountered the word 'Folder' and got it confused with the word 'older', as in 'older posts' and followed that instead. Oops. I'll fix it for the next release. -
Inappropriate?http://arstechnica.com/hardware/revie...
Firefox 3.5, bookmarklet
It's grabbing the "next story" link instead of the "next" link (though the correct link appears first) -
Inappropriate?http://jd-divas.com/darcy/andnottoyie... (and other stories on JD Divas). I'm assuming the problem is that the "next" links are phrased "On to page [whatever]." I don't know if it's possible, but if there was a way for one to enter a particular piece of text and tell PZ to look for that as a link, that'd be swank.
Thanks for any help you can give here, and everything you've done so far--this is a really useful tool. -
Inappropriate?Smart Money. Example article: http://www.smartmoney.com/spending/ri...
Firefox 3.5, bookmarklet.
Glad to see you have a Get Satisfaction account. :)
I’m unhappy it doesn't work on this page
-
This page isn't working because it uses javascript links instead of real links. A normal site would have links in the form <a href="next_page.html">next</a>, whereas the links on smartmoney.com look like <div onclick="location.href='/spending/rip-offs/what-your-congressman-wont-tell-you-20207/?page=2';">Next</div>. Generally sites avoid using javascript in the links because there is no reason for it, and they will break if a user has javascript disabled. There is no way I know of to get PageZipper working with javascript links. -

This site works in the latest version of the firefox add-on (.4) It will work with the bookmarklet as soon as I deploy the newest version. -
forbes.com also uses javascript for the links :( -
It looks like images.google.com includes some javascript to prevent it from being included in a frame or in another page. Unfortunately there isn't much PageZipper can do about that. -
Inappropriate?any of the boards on www.4chan.org -if you click on the bookmarklet on the first page, it doesn't work, but if you click it on the second page, it does.
http://mangahelpers.com/downloads/rea...
Often times, the bookmarklet will only load the first 9 pages of a chapter. In addition, this behavior is not consistent; a chapter that loaded fine before might get stuck at page 9 only a minute later.
Also, if you click on the bookmarklet while you're on anything but the first page, the previous pages will be loaded instead of the next pages.
I did not have these issues with a previous version of the bookmarklet. Shame that the newest version broke the functionality on two site that I use the most
-
Thanks for the detailed write up. Im on vacation now, but I'll work on these issues before the next release -

Inappropriate?I'm trying to use the Firefox extension Page Zipper (.5) with http://books24x7.com which is a online book service.
It does not work on their web pages.
The subscription to Books24x7 is paid for by my company so I don't think you will be able access their site without a subscription. However I saved one page from a book that has the "Next" icon on it and I could provide a .zip file for you to trouble shoot. -

Thanks. This site will work properly in the next release. -
Inappropriate?onemanga.com

Any tripadvisor review is a multi-page hell.
Please make pagezipper work with this sort of page -
This one doesn't work because the links are in the form

It will work properly in the next release -

Hi, the homepage of howtogeek.com is working for me on ff3. Do you have a url of a specific page that isn't working? -
Inappropriate?http://www.onmeda.de/aktuelles/im_fok... is not working. It's German but all the links are numbers or right arrows
-
Inappropriate?I wish this extension would work properly with ZDNet Blogs like the following page http://blogs.zdnet.com/hardware/?p=60... which has 18 pages. If you could expand this page for printing it would be great. When I first installed PageZipper it seemed to work on ZDNet but then stopped shortly after (about 8 months ago I believe). This is being used On Firefox 3.5.5. Thanks.
-
Hi, it is working for me on FF35. If you're using the add-on, are you certain you're using the most recent version (0.5) of the add-on? For printing check out PrintWhatYouLike.com - it lets you merge all 18 pages into one for before you print. -
Inappropriate?PageZipper does not work with sites such as the following: http://www.reuters.com/article/domest.... I am using FF3.5.5.. Thanks.
-
reuters uses javascript links instead of regular links. The links point to something like 'javascript:goToPage(2) instead of a url. PazeZipper doesn't support this.
