We have had a couple of reports of problems with the "Set up my lifestream" page for Mac users.
They are reporting that none of the sites that they have added are showing up on the right side of the page. That means that they aren't able to edit or remove sites that they have added.
If you're having a similar problem, please let us know your OS and browser version.
Pandora radio is not showing up in my lifestream. I've got the user name right because I can log onto the site. When I click on my account thru the Profilactic settings, I get a message that my account cannot be found? Is it me?
Can't add PeekYou to my lifestream. Every time i set up:
'Site name or label' -> 'PeekYou'
'URL' -> 'http://www.peekyou.com/Ronald_Tiefenthaeler/' or
'URL' -> 'http://www.peekyou.com/Germany/Bayern/Weiden/Ronald_Tiefenthaeler/133659664.html'
'Add this link under an existing site?' -> 'No' or any other site, nothing works
and then press 'Add>>' ------ nothing happens :(. PeekYou is obviously not added. Any hints to get it working?
I have added Twitter, MySpace, FaceBook, and Pandora in My tools > Set up my lifestream. However only Twitters I've posted show up in my Lifestream (no other services), and nothing shows up in Friends' Lifestream (says I have no friends). When I go to My tools > Manage freinds' lifestreams, the main pane is blank, and to the right only Twitter shows up (no other services) and there is nothing I can click or select. It says:
twitter - Updates from me and my friends - included in your Friends' Lifestream. Why can't I see others' posts and services besides Twitter? I can see posts, status updates etc on the services themselves and on other social aggregate sites ok, so I know they are there.
Thanks.
Pownce items appear in my lifestream...but only the first part of them. I don't know about other services, because Pownce is the only one I've got to show up at all.
Is there a setting that's cutting off the Pownce items?
I would like suggest a PHP Based Lifestream method of displaying the items. Why? Because java doesn't seem to be geeky friendly and sometimes bogs down most people's computers. With having a PHP based lifestream, almost everyone benefits not only to even work on ranging from slow computer to mobile phones(for viewing profiles only), but from better performance because you don't need any fancy smanshy scripts to get the job done. PHP is also more appealing to wider ranges of people including the tech savvy ones like me and is likley to get a little bit more popularity.
Is it possible implement a feature to move my lifestream selections up and down instead of being sorted in alphabetical order. Because it actually tells my visitors where I am most active.
I had a couple ideas for upgrades to the Lifestream services.
1) Let people specify a icon for a custom lifestream icon, instead of that generic rss icon.
2) Let the community create new services (perhaps with variable locators for the name and stuff (ie. %n)), and then let others be able to use this in their lifestream
3) This is partly needed if you were to implement 2, but a nicer UI, instead of the huge drop down list would be nice. Perhaps checkboxes where you check what services you have, and each checkbox created a field for the name that you have on that service below all the checkboxes, so you click on all the services you have, and then fill in all the names.
