Filtering Content by Category or User (Set Preferences?)
I'd like to see the ability to filter or block specific users' content or specific categories of content.
This isn't to say that I want this type of content blocked from the site. I don't want to prevent anyone else from reading it. I just don't want to read it myself. For instance, I don't want to read poetry.
I'd like to have a personal user-defined setting which allows me to filter out anything in the poetry category. By the same token, if there's someone out there that I have a personal issue with, I'd like to arrange it so that their content is filtered out--that way I don't have to see when they create a new story...

Inappropriate?Okay, blocking specific users should come in with groups at some point over the next few weeks.
As for automatically filtering content based on your preferences, I have a plan for generating recommendations coming down the line, and I'm contemplating a few options for allowing users to set preferred categories and that kinda jazz.
Improving the story navigating / browsing / finding experience is a major task that I'm undertaking this year, but it's no simple feat. It'll probably take a little revamping of the homepage and story browsing interface, but it's in the works.
