Google Chrome Doesn't Update Comment Text While Editing
Hi, Nick... The asker of many questions, here... I use Google Chrome as my browser (which basically rocks), but I do notice an oddity with it on Protagonize. When I'm writing a comment on a story or a user profile, if I go back and edit the text in the comment box before I post it, it doesn't update correctly. If I then select all the text, it updates. Not a major problem, just an interesting oddity. But thought you'd like to know. I tried the same thing in Firefox, and editing the comment text works fine.

It uses a slightly different mechanism. I know it works in Safari, though, so I'm surprised it's having issues in Chrome (Webkit). I'll try it out again and see if I can reproduce the issue.

Hmm. To be honest, I've only done cursory testing with Chrome to make sure the main stuff was working. Since it uses WebKit as a core, I figured it would work primarily like Safari.
It's possible the script that auto-expands the text area used for comments is wigging out in Chrome. I'll see about putting in a temporary fix to prevent that script from working in Chrome, if that's what's causing the problem.
Thanks for the report,

Inappropriate? This appears to be working now in Chrome. I just added a comment, and when I went back to insert text on a previous line, it all updated fine without me having to do anything to nudge it. Yay!!

Inappropriate?Amendment... When I'm entering a comment, the "updating as you edit" works fine now. However... sorry to say ... When I "edit" a comment, the same non-updating behavior returns. Does the "editing" box use a different mechanism than the "commenting" box?
