More comprehensive chapter linking options

So, I'm wondering if it is possible to improve the system linking chapters. Right now it seems that it is only possible to link back to previous chapters. In the 'choose your own adventure' type things I've read in the past, branches separating out from one chapter often link to each other.

Right now on Protagonize, it is only possible to link back to chapters that are before your chapter, in a direct line back to the beginning. (Or you can link to the chapters that branch directly off of them.)

Right now the links in black are possible and the red arrow is not: (blobs are chapters)



Any way this could be improved?
