Notification of Replies to Comments I Didn't Make...
Hi, Nick... I've noticed that in some of my notifications, it says someone replied to my comment on a particular branch, but I haven't yet commented on that branch. Has anyone else mentioned this?

Okay.. I've cleaned this up somewhat for the time being, but I'm not sure if your last comment is quite resolved yet, Eric. See how it goes for the next little bit, but it should be slightly clearer to see what's going on now.

Okay, I've been looking into this by tracking my own notifications and I think it may just be some confusion in the way things are named.
In your email notifications, you'll get notified if someone replies to a post directly after a comment you've made. i.e. if you were the last commenter, any comments by the next person commenting will notify you. If a second person comes along and comments, you won't get that notification anymore, and the person who commented directly after you will. That continues ad infinitum.
In this case, I think the confusion occurs when you comment on a story, and then someone comments on a branch of the story directly after you. In the email, it comes through as the branch/chapter title, not the story title. So while the logic is correct, the notification you get isn't super clear as it never specifies the story title. It's misleading, but I think it's working properly. I'll just change the follow-up notifications on chapters/branches to actually list the story title in addition to what it's showing now... clarifying that *should* do the trick.
Does that sound about right?
I’m pretty sure this will work...

Inappropriate?Have you guys noticed a specific pattern to it? i.e. is it reproducible consistently. If that's the case then it's likely a bug, but I need to track it down.
Were they stories you had commented on but you're getting notified about a branch reply? -
Inappropriate? It happens very rarely, and I don't think it started until a few months back. And it's never been on anything where I haven't commented on one of the chapters as far as I can remember.

Inappropriate?Sounds good to me. The Story title would help loads. In fact, I've had notifications where I DID read and comment on whatever branch or chapter it was, but ages ago, and hadn't a clue what it is because it was so long ago and who remembers chapter names?
I’m having a cup of tea

Inappropriate?I think that would probably help a bit, Nick, though it seems to me it would likely still be confusing if I get a notification that someone has replied to a comment I made on the story, but then I go look at it, and it's actually a comment on a branch. I'd rather be notified if someone else comes along and actually makes a comment on the story. But then, I don't know if that's workable in the way you have comments set up.
