Personal Notes Public!
Why aren't Personal notes to an author truly personal? Why does it show up on the activity pages? If I ask for a new found friend's email or IM name and they don't want it public, we would use the personal tab. But it still shows up for everyone to see. Could you make the personal notes more secretive?

Inappropriate?Actually there have never been private comments on Protagonize; all I did was add descriptors to generic comments so people could sort them out -- all comments are and have always been public. Sorry if that's not obvious, I thought the contact author button was clearer, but maybe I'll re-think the wording.
For reference, personal notes are just another name for the Editorial notes that are on stories. They're technically one and the same, I just put "personal" in the label because it didn't make sense to leave editorial notes on author profiles. I may change the "personal" to something else so people don't assume they're private.
If you want to send a private note to an author, you can use the Contact Author button on anyone's profile. That sends them an email (without disclosing their email address.)
