Trimming the fat on the personal notification system
I was just wondering if it would be possible to trim the personal notification system down a bit.
Right now if say, one of my favorite authors writes a follow up to a chapter I've written in a story I've marked as a favorite, I might get 3 or 4 notifications for that one entry. If there could be some sort of check to see if a notification had already been sent before firing off another one (thus only 1 notification per new chapter/comment) that would be the bees knees.

Inappropriate?I'm wondering if you mean email notifications or the web-based notifications?
Because when it comes to email, you should only be receiving a maximum of 1 notification for anything you're subscribed to/following. i.e. in the case you mentioned above, you should only see 1 notification in your email, if you have them turned on.

Inappropriate?Yeah, sorry I meant the web-based notifications. The little link on the right hand side for 'my notifications'... I've just been noticing how many multiple notifications I get when one would suffice.
Obviously not a big deal, just thought I'd throw it out there.

Inappropriate?I agree with this. I come on the site and see "15 new notifications" and i'm like "oooo" but when i look at them, there are maybe 4 or 5 actual seperate items repeated.
