Black Screen video in restored streams
since Qik installed a new version of the phone it keeps restoring streams and the uploads are all black except for the last frame! Help

Inappropriate?which means the restored part has no video except for the last frames.
If you feel restoring is not important , you can always delete the des file form file manager--video clips--Qik to prevent black videos from restoring -
Inappropriate?Why would that be that there is no video though except for the last frames? Everything was working fine. There were also videos that had been uploaded that are now ruined. These are my family memories. How can you fix this!?

I am not sure what problem is in the last video that you mentioned - http://qik.com/stevemann#v=720181 - everything plays fine for me.
Also, can you please specify what videos are ruined - give the specific links - we'll see what can be done...
I am not sure if it may be the reason for your problem - but there're few streams which are titled "Restored stream" - those are sent from older version and may be just duplicates of your existing streams, which are still on your site, but you have to scroll back to see older versions. If older versions are better than restored, just delete newer or make them private.
Also, you can get latest version here - go to http://d.qik.com on your phone. It has few bug fixes.1 Comment

I have the same problem,
I was using the Android app on a HTC Hero to live stream a conference. Everything went well during the conference and about the live stream on the Web. But when finished I'm now getting a black screen for the first part of the conference, the sound is there but not the image anymore.

BTW the conference I'm talking about is in 2 parts because my stream fail because to an incoming SMS on my mobile while filming
