please uninstall previous version ( option--advanced options---application. find QIk and delete it)
download new version from qik.com/dl/217 -
Inappropriate?i'm trying to use Qik in guam on a BB Bold with 3G service...i downloaded the app fine and installed it, but when it launches it just hangs on the Sign In screen (my login is "jasonsalas") and the "Wait" countdown just keeps looping. I've let it run for as long as 10 minutes but it never lets me start to record. could you give me some pointers?

Inappropriate?Hello, my question is, I have a blackberry Bold, and I can’t seem to get Qik to work is there something special I need to do in the settings, because I get the Firewall error, it tells me “The application Qik has attempted to open a connection to a location inside the firewall and outside the firewall which is not allowed by your IT policy. Just to let you know, this is a new Blackberry Bold never had and IT policy, and only used for personal emails , now BES...hope you can help..

Hi Wayne, I ran into this on another Bold I was working on...I got Qik working by disabling the BlackBerry's built-in firewall by going to Options ==> Security Options ==> Firewall (set Status to "Disabled" and then exit out of the screen and Save your changes). Should fix you right up. -
Inappropriate?It sounds like that your BES server has been set to block certain websites, I will try it tomorrow inside of the same network as the BES server and see if I get the same issue. But I cant wait til they get the issue fix for 3g. Also try to get the wifi at another location and see if you get the same error. I read that they dont have BES support yet, I tried setting my tcp settings and it didnt work either looks like we may just have to wait.

Inappropriate?i finally figured out what the deal was with my problem, you have to make sure that your apn is set properly, I was excited to see the latest version come out but disappointed about the same problem, after reading the log noticed the apn error, after setting to my carriers apn and rebooted fone, fixed 2 other apps that I had that didnt work too. MAKE sure that apn is set to the correct settings. If you have to call tech support of your carrier it is worth it.
