Does anybody else experience terrible performance using Qik on their HTC Touch Pro 2?
Does anybody else experience terrible performance using Qik on their HTC Touch Pro 2? My maximum frame rate is 5fps even on WiFi. I'm using an 8GB Class 4 SD card. This is by far the absolute worst performance I've gotten on any device I've tried Qik on. For comparison, other devices I've tried have been iPhone 3G, iPhone 3GS, MyTouch 3G, Samsung BlackJack 2, Nokia E71, and Blackberry Bold. On ALL of the others I have gotten at least 10fps, but could consistently get 15fps on the iPhones (jailbroken) and the BB Bold. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Inappropriate?Hi Jason,
I absolutely agree with you saying that HTC has terrible performance and I can explain why.
1. They do not have provided public API for access video/audio codecs. Even to software based mpgeg4/amr not mention DSP-based codecs.
2. Highest possible capturing FPS is 5 on your device using standart API.
Native camera app uses private API/SDK to access camera driver and codecs.
You can compare Qik for example on Samsung Omnia any HTC device to feel the difference.
