Embed on Wordpress selfhosted sites
I just spent a confusing hour trying to embed Qik video into a self hosted wordpress blog - the wiki said to use a [ qik ] code. It didn't work. It only works on wordpress.com hosted blogs, not self hosted ones. I edited templates as recommended by one blog, I added plugins including Vipers Video Quicktags, and basically went mad trying to get Qik to embed properly.
Eventually I found the real embed code hidden under another tab "INFO" on the right hand side. The default when I found the page was "MAP" and it didn't occur to me it would be in the chat side of the page.
Just saying this to stop the pain for others and to help them not be so frustrated - the embed is not where all the other hundreds video hosting sites have it (on the player itself), it's hidden on a tab that is not default. Grrr.

Inappropriate? Thanks for the feedback. The embed code is available from the player as well. Click the green Qik logo on the bottom left of the player and then click Embed to find the embed code. This again is not all that obvious and we are looking at ways to address this in the near future.
