I recommend this microphone for using the iPhone in conjunction with Qik
Just wanted to share a nice little microphone solution for iPhone users. I love Qik but have been frustrated with the audio quality from the iPhone, especially from the subject that I'm shooting.
I just tried out the Mikey from Blue Microphones, which is an external microphone that plugs into the dock connector. It's made for iPods but works just as well on an iPhone (just don't go into airplane mode when prompted). One nice feature is that the microphone swivels to give you a better angle for recording. It's designed for audio recording, so one drawback is that the maximum rotation is 90 degrees from your shooting subject (not quite like having a boom mic, but better than having the microphone facing you).
Here's a link to the info page:

At 80 bucks, I think it's a good deal. Here are two video samples with audio quality, first without the Mikey and then with the Mikey.

Inappropriate?BTW, I am NOT an employee of Blue Microphones, but I do like the idea of using a microphone created by audio experts.
