iPhone 3G Camera ALWAYS on Standby in Qik.
Why is it that Qik will not record any video on my iPhone or even let me stream live? Camera always seems to be on standby, I click continue, a few moments later, the standby message appears on screen again. Please help. Could any other Cydia apps be causing conflict with this?
Some Additional information:
Running iPhone OS 3.0 on the iPhone 3G 16GB.
FWChanger App from Cydia reporting firmware as 3.1.2 (Snow Leopard)
Cycorder installed
VideoToggle icon in SBSettings. This allows for videos to be exported from Cycorder folder to the folder where all camera photo's are stored. This is so that videos can be watched through accessing the Photos app on the 3G.

Inappropriate?Hi,
Could you try uninstalling it and installing it again? It should not be the case as once you click "continue", it should be able to go into camera mode.

Inappropriate?I did try re-installing the application and unfortunately that alone did not change anything. However, the problem is now solved. I tried a number of things after posting the problem.
Those things were, switching the VideoEdit toggle on and off, hiding the Toggle in SBSettings with it set to off. Un-hiding it again after reboot.
I then went into FWChanger and set it as 3.0 (iPhone OS) and switched phone off and then back on.
This seemed to make all the difference and I can now record and stream with this application. I'm very pleased to have this working and if your like me, I tend to have a lot of applications on my phone and when things don't seem to work, I generally associate the problem with other programs potentially conflicting with each other.
This program will work so long as the VideoEdit Toggle is set to off. When the toggle is set to On, the camera app of the phone does not work because any video that is recorded through Cycorder or another third-party video recording app, the videos get placed into the Camera Roll when this is on. The phone thinks that it is a 3GS so neither camera or video recording are available while this tab is on in the native app.
When the VideoEdit toggle is off, the native camera app starts working again and any videos that have been recorded in Cycorder are also then removed from the Camera Roll in the Photos app.
I’m pleased that this application is now working. Quite happy now.

Inappropriate?Where is this VideoEdit toggle? I have SBSETTINGS/BossPrefs installed but I can't find it.

Inappropriate?I can't remember exactly where I found it now. I know it was through a Google search and you will probably find a link to it on an iPhone related forum. I do know that the files for the VideoEdit toggle were contained within a .zip folder and I did get instructions on where to extract the files.
Edit: Just had a look now on Google for you as I like to be as helpful to others as I can be. I found the following link: http://www.ihackintosh.com/2009/08/en... and the instructions look familiar.
