Nokia E71(x) LED
Nokia E71(x) has the flash LED constantly on while streaming live video/audio. I would like to know if it is possible to turn it off.

Inappropriate?Hi,
You should be able to turn it off from the phone itself.
Do let me know if it works.
For more information on Qik support, you can visit the url below for more information:

I have tried to turn off the light using all the buttons on my phone and some random combination of keys, but nothing seems to work. -
Inappropriate? There does not seem like there is a way to do it. Qik has an option in Settings to either keep the light "Always On", or use the "System Default". I chose the system default option and tried to find a setting in the camera section of the E71x to keep the light off but there was none. Sorry, I think there is no way to turn it off unless they fix it in a software update.

Inappropriate?Dear shortyvs2,
Unfortunately, we don't have a E71 around. But there are 2 things here:
1) Settings -> Backlight - controls only the backlighting of your screen, mostly for power saving and not the flash near camera window
2) can you test the Flash LED behavior with built-in camera application. If it is On while recording - then it is a built-in functionality and we can't alter it.
Thanks -
Unfortunately the E71x have no explicit option to turn off the light for the camera. It does have 2 settings, one AUTO setting and a NIGHT setting. The AUTO setting adjusts the settings according to the situation, but no matter what the environment is, the light always stays on. The NIGHT setting optimizes the camera for night shooting. There is no "Turn Off the LED" option. -
Inappropriate?Hi, I have a Nokia E90, and I have exactly the same problem.
@Ilya: The built-in application keeps the red LED off, except when it's dark. I would want a "force LED off" option, because the red LED does more harm than good (reflections on all kind of surfaces, including close-ups of faces).
I’m frustrated
