Just wanted to add in my support for a Qik Blackberry client - saw this (and some other Blackberry threads on here) haven't had attention in a couple of months...

getting a new curve today... any updates on supporting it?

+1 for the blackberry client. I'm using the bold and Qik would be nice on it :)

I have Qik running on my Blackberry Curve 8310 (OS 4.5) i get to the streaming video part but while attempting to upload the video, Qik just changes its status to "Offline" from "Connected" and nothing happens afterwards (besides opting to record another video) ... any suggestions would be appreciated

same here. i have everything installed and am no longer getting crashes but have yet to have anything streaming to the qik site. Solution?

got it running on my alltel pearl. 4.5.0.85 software. no crashes yet!

Same problem here. Got everything loaded, select stream - says connected, but all it does is store the vid on my sim...Help!

Guys, we do need your help to improve our blackberry account.
is that possible to send your log file to support@qik.com or blackberry@qik.com for us to analyze.
Log file is in your SD card--->blackberry--->qiklog.txt
also indicate your phone model and OS version

i downloaded the client for my blackberry bold but it wont let me connect to theserver when i try and log in. So i close and try to reoppen it but it wont give me the opportunity to log in and all i can do is stream in "offline" mode.
HELP!!!!!!

Attempted to use Qik on my Sprint 8130, but no luck. I can load the app, log in, and begin streaming, but it does not appear to go to Qik. At least I don't see any videos in my profile.

Try set you TCP setting as instructed per below

The link above is very old information and out-dated information. I have plenty of IP-based applications installed and working on my 8130, OS 4.5, so I'm not sure why I would even want to change my IP settings. So far, Qik is the only IP based application that does not work properly.

Just sent an e-mail as requested.

What I'm seeing is that my BB appears to be streaming (cam application loads up and BB alert light starts flashing, timer in bottom left corner of screen), but the icon in the bottom right corner of the screen shows off-line. The icon is a circle with a lightning bolt in it and a slash through it, which I interpret to mean off-line.

I have a Verizon Curve 8330 v4.5.0.77 (Platform 3.2.0.51), and am experiencing the same or very similar issues. Got the application installed, got signed in, got a screen that allows me to name the Title, Description, Tags, and Privacy choice, and it has a "Stream" button on the bottom with the black bar on top showing offline or connected and a lock in the middle with a percentage and kB rate on the right side. I click on the Stream button, it shows connected and goes to my video camera and starts streaming but I get no videos on my profile page and no options of what to do once it is streaming other than to stop recording. Once I stop recording and exit out of the video camera I get back to the page with the Stream button that does show me as connected, but I'm stumped as to how to get it working correctly. I would love to be able to do live river side fishing reports!!! Any ideas on what to do here to get this working correctly? Thanks for any help!!!

Having the exact same issue as the rest. Finman details it pretty well. I am experiencing the exact same scenario. I just sent over my log file via email to the blackberrry & support email.

I tried the new version and the only difference that I noticed was that my qiklog.txt file got much larger in size after I ran the test. I sent you an email and attached my new qiklog.txt file for you to check. Everything else appeared to be the same, with no video showing up on my profile page, or on the Recent Qik page. I hope you can figure this out and let me know when you have something else for me to try. Thank you for your work and help on this as it is much appreciated!!!

After you sent over the new version of the app I installed via Desktop Manager and now my Qik app does nothing on my Blackberry.

I can get it to the login screen and it just sits there saying connected and standby and never goes any further.

Since I installed the update I can't even get the video play to come up anymore. I sent you an email Jane detailing all of this as well as my OS details etc.

I don't think the new version he sent out is supposed to actually fix anything, just capture additional logging info to help them troubleshoot.

Also, if you install the new version, make sure to uninstall the old version first.

It was working much better for me today... Blackberry 8130 OS 4.3 (currently supported by Verizon). The streaming has a circular buffering every once in awhile, but it is much better than the 15 minute delay from yesterday.

I've sent my log off to support as well. Waiting on an answer. I have a Verizon 8130...

I"m still trying to get it to work on my Alltel (CDMA) Blackberry pearl. But I"m still glad one exsists.

let us know your OS version and also do following
close browser, then run it again and go to menu-> Options->Cache Operations, Clear all caches and cookies.
Then try to download it again (qik.com/dl/193) and let me know if it works.
Also make sure you have good network coverage

I've installed the app today. running BB Curve and OS 4.3.0.127 (platform 3.1.0.72). I can stream and upload to site. However, videos on site are blank. Really want to use the service, but it's just not working for me. Help!

bigguyd we see no video on your profile, can u stream a video for us to investigate

My 8310 crashes after 23 seconds of streaming.

cmiked, mine may be a phone issue. It locked up on me w/o using qik last night too.

I can't get my BB Bold to work (same issue as posted by Finman above). Anyone get their BB Bold working?

I trashed the Curve and bought a Bold...works great so far. May not be sending the titles....

I'll test it some more.
