Qik on HTC Touch Diamond2 not working well
I just got a brand new HTC Touch Diamond2 and installed the latest version of Qik (v0.2.25) on it. When I start up Qik I notice that the image is zoomed in (look at the attached image below) and the screen is very laggy. The buttons of Qik are also not very responsive, operation is very slow.
About the zoomed image, it looks like Qik starts with the 2x digital zoom of the built-in camera as a standard because if I start the camera application of the phone itself and zoom in it gives me the same image in which Qik starts with. This wouldn't be a problem if I could zoom out again but this is unfortunately not the case meaning Qik is useless on the Diamond2 because of the viewing angle.
This problem didn't occur on my old HTC P3300, a phone which isn't even officially supported by Qik but it worked better on that phone then on the new and more powerful Diamond2 which is very odd of course.
I think Qik should make a different version for the new HTC models because they have a bigger resolution of 800x480 which Qik doesn't really support looking at the buttons on the phone (they are stretched). Also, these new models have an auto focus lens which Qik doesn't support. Because I'm using a generic Windows Mobile version of Qik on my Diamond2 is maybe also causing the other problems like the zoomed in image, laggy video and laggy Qik operation.
I hope that the next version of Qik for Windows Mobile devices is also geared towards the new HTC models which eliminates the problems that I noticed now.

Inappropriate?Tried the 4.03 Alpha version, this is what I came across:
- Zoomed image is still there so the way how Qik communicates with the camera hardware hasn't been changed.
- screen still laggy.
- Very small video preview (in 2.25 it was fullscreen)
- I have no clue how to broadcast with this version: there's no broadcast button.
- Operation is better then with the 2.25 version, buttons are responsive.
- Most options are greyed out like settings/tools and video resolution.
- Rear/front camera select button is clickable but doesn't do anything.
I’m undecided
