Simple instructions for Omnia alpha?

I'm desperate. I'm not an idiot (honestly!), but I'll be damned if I can get this app to do anything on my Omnia i910. The manual is less than helpful, since it doesn't have screenshots and doesn't spell things out clearly enough, especially considering I'm running a version that is several away from when the manual was apparently written. The 4.07 alpha installs and runs, and I get a live camera on-screen with the following icons:

Left side: transfer arrows, lightbulb, screen dimensions and microphone
Right side: exit, menu dots, greyed out filmstrip, camera.

Menu dots gets me to qik, user info (says I'm signed in: tep629) and config tools.

(I'm spelling this out because I cannot match this up with anything I seen in the random screenshots I have managed to find).

So... now what? What does what? How do I record? How do I upload? I can't get anything to appear on my Qik page no matter what I do, and nothing I do on the Omnia seems to actually do anything. (I can toggle the transfer button icon, but nothing appears to actually happen).

Some screenshots show a server-like icon. However, this doesn't seem to be in 4.07 (replaced by lightbulb, which controls flash).
