When will we see qik for the Palm Pre? If you need any beta testers I would love to be one.

Inappropriate?Hi,
We are always working to support more phones including the Palm Pre. At the moment, we do not have any beta version of the Palm Pre, if we do, our Qik users will be the first to know. -
Has there been any forward motion on this? Been 2 months so just bumping the topic. I'd like to see it. -
Currently, the Palm Pre does not support video capturing capabilities. Once it does - we will evaluate the possibility of supporting the platform. -
Inappropriate? Thanks for a quick response to this topic.

Inappropriate? There is actually some headway for video on the Palm Pre. Article posted yesterday about a video app in development (homebrew) that is using some new features in the Palm webOS SDK from the 1.3.1 update. Qik, there may be the hooks you need for this device in teh system now.

I installed this application (Alpha phase) on my Pre and it seems to work very well recording video at 30fps with audio in about 3-4 formats. Even has the ability to toggle the flash on or off to provide light. Neat, neat, neat.

Thanks for the resources, PreCorder does appear to work pretty good. Also, uploading those videos to YouTube via email gets it online. Guess I don't need Qik after all. ;)
