Inappropriate?I don't think Photoshop plugin is possible. Adobe's Camera Raw (ACR) is itself a Photoshop plugin and its not possible to build a plugin for a plugin.
ACDSee, I like their product but haven't explored their plugin architecture yet, will check it out.
I would suggest/request that you drop a message to ACDSee and Adobe forums and support, there is no reason for them to not add native support for the format other than knowing if 'their' users want it :-)
