Would be nice to have a link on people's profiles/book profiles that allows you to recommend a book to a specific user (like Last.fm does with songs/artists).

Inappropriate?It seems so odd to me that a site about building lists of books really lacks anyway to share a recommendation. I can build a list of books, I can add a bunch of 'friends', but what can I _do_ with them. I can look at their books, maybe add a comment or rate it. It seems to be a site about what I can do, about putting my stamp on things. I want to share, I want to know more about the community that forms around common readings. It seems the site is strongly focused on bringing all this 'to' me but there is little about me 'giving'

Inappropriate?It would also be nice to do some sort of comparison of what other people that are reading the same books as you are reading.
Something similar to Amazon's "Customers Who Bought This Item Also Bought" feature.
