Design First Impressions
I thought it might put my first impressions here. Trying to take my duties as a beta tester a bit more seriously than usual!
I like the treatment of the menu items on the left but think that perhaps the main panel might struggle to cope when one starts to get a lot of books. Maybe a no-cover listing option?
I liked the design when I logged in. But then I found it a little big for my taste. I couldn't help comparing it with the service I'm currently using which scales things down a little and manages to squeeze a lot of functionality in. In fact it is in turn, a little derivative , but i like the simplicity.
I've included a scaled down screengrab of the one I currently use.
Hope the feedback helps - don't want to come across as negative, but thought it might be useful to give my opinion.
Maybe others could weigh in with their views

Inappropriate? Thanks Kev, I actually had never seen Anobii before and I would have to agree, we have some striking similarities :) It doesn't really surprise me though because our interfaces are trying to solve the same problems.
That said, I like the idea of a text only view and I'm going to implement it this weekend if not sooner.
You're right about the menu items, they're going to have to scale and I've got a few tricks up my sleeve as we progress :)
Thanks so much for your interest and feedback!
I’m thankful

Inappropriate?I think you've misunderstood me - I think readernaut is very a distinctive and original design. I was saying that anobii strikes me as a bit 37 signals ish. (which I like) .
I suppose I'm saying I don't mind a bit of clutter if it offers me the functions I'm used to.
One little feature that do like is the number of books added that anobii has. That's be a good one to ne 'inspired by'.
Cheers
I’m happy
