INVALID FILENAME? HOW TO FIND NEEDLE IN HAYSTACK? PLEASE HELP!
I was just trying to upload my new site (with the plugin called PayLoom), and instead of uploading it stops and says that a filename may not publish correctly. How can i find this certain file in order to change it's filename in order that it will go through and publish?

Hi Bryan,
The reason for this error is that double-quotation marks in file-names are not allowed by webservers. You'll need to rename the image files to something different. Perhaps pl-14x2-detail or similar.

Inappropriate? But I can't even FIND the file in order to change it. My question now or was, HOW do i locate this file in the first place in order to change its name? I did a search on my computer as well as look through the Rapidweaver site i'm building. Could it be a picture I used? How do i "search" inside Rapidweaver for files?

Inappropriate?Hi Bryan
Currently there's no way to search within a RapidWeaver file for the one using this image. If this error message appears from a Payloom page, that may help narrow it down: unfortunately, you'd need to look through the individual pages (perhaps using the image's name as a guide) to find and remove it from your project.

Inappropriate?Hello Nik, You have been extremely helpful thus far. I have another problem though. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong when publishing but i can't seem to publish my site + view it or find it (the url) that is.
Let me know the situation at hand.
PREMISE: I have to build a website + a online store (using Payloom) for my company.
I have built the site already using iWeb. Published it using the Mac server I believe and has it directed to my personal domain, in this case, www.q1engravers.com
Now unto building and publishing and testing the e-commerce site and having it connected to the same domain name.
I am building the e-commerce site on Rapidweaver with a plugin called Payloom which I got in order to have it connected to Paypal.
ANYWAYS... I am not sure if I'm doing publishing settings correctly. Please help me get this site up and connected to my other main website.
Thanks Nik!

Inappropriate?Hi Bryan
the 'Missing Plugin' warning is a little unusual: can you ensure that Payloom is correctly installed on your system (this can be fixed by re-downloading the plugin, opening the downloaded disk image and simply double-clicking the 'Payloom.rwplugin' file).
For the store, this is a little more complex! .Mac (or rather MobileMe) Personal Domains are designed only for use by one application / site really, so getting an iWeb site and RapidWeaver store to play nicely on the same domain is a bit of a challenge. I'm not entirely sure of the best way to go about it (it's the first time this has been asked!) so I'll take a look using my own iDisk and let you know if it's possible and how to go about do so if it is possible.

Inappropriate?Hi Brian
So after a little testing, here's what we can do:
You *can* publish your Payloom site to a subfolder of the personal domain. However... RapidWeaver, when publishing, will report it's been published somewhere else: ignore that warning.
Here's what to do:
1. Create your Payloom site etc.
2. Go to the File menu -> Publishing settings
3. Go to .Mac tab
4. Check that the username and password are correct
5. Check the 'Use Personal Domain' option
6. Check the 'Publish to Subfolder' option above it: disregard the warning message that says you shouldn't use this option with the Personal Domain feature.
7. In the folder box (below username and password) enter the folder you want it published to: perhaps 'store' without the quotation marks.
Now save the settings and close the Publishing Settings window.
8. Go to the Site Setup window (Cmd + 1 - or the Setup button on the main toolbar) and enter the webaddress such as http://www.yourdomain.com/Site/Store. The /Site bit is required, as your iWeb site is published in that folder.
9. With that setup, close the Site Setup window.
10. Click 'Publish' on the main toolbar.
11. RapidWeaver will throw up a warning box: Click OK.
12. RapidWeaver will publish the files correctly, but at the end of publishing, will report it as being published to http://homepage.mac.com - this is a known issue in 4.0.1 which we'll be fixing in 4.1 - however the site HAS been uploaded.
13. Link to the store from your iWeb site, and you should be all set
Just as a sidenote: We're aware that this is *highly* confusing, however we're working to ensure things are a little clearer in RapidWeaver 4.1
Let me know if you need any further help!
Best
