Bonus minutes are country specific. If you have India bonus minutes then they can only be used to call India. -
Inappropriate?will you be having a bonus minute promotiona s you had before? based on bulk buying? also for the second time now, when I beta SMS from the site sometimes the part in which you type your sms goes to the bottom of the screen and this will not alter. As a result it is impossible to press the send key- Its happening with mine again at the moment

I been having the same problem for the past 4 months. I emailed rebtel but no answer from them. Worst than that, in order to get connected I have to call 2 times to the same number, and of course I'm being charged for every single call, even though i can't talk or hear the other party... nor even talk about a refund... -
Jenny you aren't alone, I am getting a lot of one way audio (they can hear me but I can't hear them). It has been getting worse for me every day. -

Everytime I try to use a credit card on my account it gets rejected, and I get a "due to high level of security" sometimes we may reject blah blah blah message. And everytime I inquire to customer service about this, they keep telling me to use paypal. Why do you want customers to use paypal? What's the point of having credit card as a choice of payment, if you want customers to use paypal instead?
It's been over a month and still this issue has not been resolved. I know I'm not the only one having problems with the payment system.
You can't use the autopay with paypal REBTEL!!! Tell us what's really going on with the payment system.

ive been using rebtel for a while now since my husbands deployment to iraq and just today i refilled after speaking with him for 20 - 30 minutes with 10 more US dollars then about 5 - 10 minutes later it promted me AGAIN and after another refill of 10 US dollars it promtped me yet AGAIN and i just did 25 us dolars because it was an important call regarding a prchase andrelinquishment of vehicles but Im very disatisfied and am seeking a refund of some sort because there is NO WAY i use that much moneys worth of minutes in that short amount of time

I'm really sorry to hear that you feel the way you do.
Due to the nature of our service it is necessary that you contact us by email when you experience issues so that we can see the call examples of the failed calls, identify the issue and fix it. When you had the issue a week ago, I kindly asked you to send us an email and identify yourself as jenny from getsatisfaction so that we could put special attention into your issue and make it up for the trouble you experienced. Unfortunately we didn’t find your email.

We are not the company who likes to censor, rather we are very open and let everyone say what they think about Rebtel. However, there is a line between saying what you think about us, and using our forums to advertise other services.

I'd like to second Efe's comment, jenny. The folks at Rebtel are extremely responsive. You should consider giving them a chance to help. -
I have emailed REBTEL's customer service a trillion times before coming to this forum, like many other customers. They provide you with the same cookie cutter response. I had to cancel my account due to no resolution. As a matter of fact, REBTEL was putting blame on ME or my BANK for problems with their payment system. I also had problems with echoing and no not being able to hear the other person, but they can hear me problem. Yeah they encourage you to email them, but that does not mean that the problem will be resolved. Be ready for multiple run arounds before you get somewhere. If you're problem was resolved, consider yourself lucky. Just telling you from experience. -

Inappropriate?I can't get through to Brazil. Almost every time I try in the past month or two, the call just fails or says "the subscriber you have dialed...blah blah". Yet, when I call using Skype or my cell phone company, it goes through just fine. This is really irritating. If it were working, I should at least hear their voicemail. What can be done about this?

I have well registered to Rebtel and add my contacts (and received contacts rebtel numbers) and put some money in my account. Everything seems fine in my account details
However, when I try to make a phone call, I have a message that tells me that "the number you've dialed has not been registered", whereas the number is a rebtel number Ive received via SMS.
For more details, I am using a prepaid card in Hong Kong (number 531xxxxx).

Inappropriate?I have several contacts on MyContacts and in the past when I was in Poland I was able to connect them with some 20 or even 40 local numbers.
Now that I am in Finland, I tried to release the local numbers and re-connect those contacts that I mostly use, but so far I have been able to connect only 14 local numbers. The option "Connect a local number" is always displayed, and when I click on it, says "Great" and "Call this number" and also sends the SMS, but no number is displayed on the My Contacts page nor in the SMS received. Is this some bug? At least it should say if all numbers available in the logal range are used. But I think this is just some weird bug, right?

I have the exact same problem. I've been using Rebtel for calls to Tanzania for a couple of months now with very varying results regarding sound quality. It never tells you if the number is reachable or not, you get signals anyway. Since iv'e spent some time there i know the Tanzanian operators have frequent troubles with their networks. All these problems seems to occur in periods, right now is one period with a lot of disconnected calls and problems getting through even though i know the number is currently reachable. And the worst part is that is till have to pay for it!!! -

Inappropriate?Trust me people its a scam as my credit card has been charged twice as much as it was suppose to be :( because whenever I tried to buy more credit the message came up that due to security they can not allow me to have credit and yet for this message they have charged me $25 everytime I tried to purchase it as I have spoken to my bank and they said its an illegal company with fake account registration and their investigation is in process, so please beware of them....I do not want anyother to suffer from these people at all...

Inappropriate?Sedina. Unfortunately Ghana is not a Rebtel country. Smart calls among 52 Rebtel countries are free. Following is the link of Rebtel countries:

Rebtel keeps adding Rebtel countries for their Smart Calls. You can signup for the notification if the country you are interested in becomes a Rebtel country. You still can use Rebtel $0.069 for landline and $0.149 for mobile which is a lot cheaper than other VOIP carriers or cell phone carriers.
