A couple of features I'd like to see. :-)
I love the reddit app. I've been playing with it on my iPod and am actually considering buying an iPhone now. There are a couple of features that I think would be cool for later versions.
- A way to browse all subreddits instead of just the ones on the app.
Currently the ability to use custom reddits is broken but, even when it's fixed, the app doesn't have a way to view specific reddits on the fly (especially the ones you aren't subscribed to normally)
-Have a back button for the web browsing portion.
When sent to a site that that has multiple pages, there is no way to go back to previous pages without clicking back to the main reddit or the comment, clicking back into the story and going through the pages again. The back button should also function to take you back to the last place in the reddit app. Currently, if you click an app in the comments, there is no back button to get back to the comments. You can click the top banner to get back to the comments but that isn't intuitive. There should be a "back" button or a left arrow. That also leads me to my next recommendation....
-For the comments section to remember your location on the page when you browse away and then back
Often times, someone will post a link in the comment section. When you click on it and check the out link, and then go back to the comments, it reloads the comments section and puts you at the top of the page. You then have to scroll down to find the original comment again if you want to reply to it.
Those are my 2 cents. Thanks for the great app!

Inappropriate? Not sure if this is a good idea or a bad one or one that people won't appreciate because it excludes content. But as iPhone and iPod touch users know flash is a complete waste of time. I spent a lot of time loading pages just to find out it was a video that I could not view due to the lack of support for it on the iPhone.
The availability of YouTube videos was limited as well.
So wondering what users and devs think of this: Either A: warning of flash content in the link for iPhone and iPod touch users - or B: Excluding the flash content altogether...
Not ideal I know but sure would save some bandwidth and time. Unfortunate that flash is not supported - sucks actually.
I’m frustrated

For people (like me) who have jailbroken their devices, flash videos aren't a problem anymore. Some very nice people have created a Safari plugin called iMobileCinema (imobilecinema.com) that lets you watch almost all flash videos (FLV based) in the browser. I have yet to test it inside of iReddit. -
That is great for people that have decided to jailbreak their phone. Personally I have no intention of doing this and I suspect that the majority of users fall into that basket...
I see your point but then the assumption is: we will support you in software only if you jail break your phone and potentially violate your warranty and run the risk of bricking your phone.
Which is not an option as far as this user is concerned.
I think that with development of software - it has to be developed with the assumption that users are using the product and software as the manufacturer intended. And that is the position of the original statment that I made.
Again. I am glad that some users are able to get flash to work and I do see the attraction of jailbreaking but for most of us this is not an option. -
Inappropriate?I do not use iReddit because I can't see stories from my subreddits.
I’m disappointed.
