account settings crashes

I have this problem as well. However, mine resets the value back to off. I love the app but would love to be able to add other sub-reddits via the app.

I am having the same issue. However, after a crash I have no problem getting back to the app.

It is crashing on launch for me after setting "use account settings."

From above: "If you delete the app off your phone, you can redownload it for free from the app store. It will have reset the settings too, so that should give you a workaround until the bug is fixed."

We're working on a fix.

Same problem. Cannot set "Use Account Settings" to "On" and save my settings without the app immediately crashing. This is a dealbreaker for me guys :(

I've identified one source of problems, but before we submit a new version to Apple I'd like to investigate a bit more.

For anyone who's having this problem, could you please post a detailed, step by step description of the process you went through before the crash? I'm talking, pretend I'm a three year old simple instructions.

It may help to have a fresh start: delete the app (by tapping and holding your icon on it on the home screen), go to the AppStore, and redownload the app. Even though it reads $1.99, it will redownload the app for free (and it will tell you this at the very last step before it does just in case you don't believe me).

Now, carefully record (mentally or in writing) each step you take as you try to login and select the "use account settings" switch. If it crashes, post those steps here and I'll try to verify that they have been fixed with the pending update.

Alright, based on emails with a few users, and the code itself, I'm reasonably confident I've found the source of most or all of the "custom reddits" crashers.

I'll be uploading a fix immediately, hopefully it will be on the app store by the end of the week.

confirm the same issue. that when saving or applying account setting causes iredditt to fail (crash).
a bit useless unless I can read the redditt topics to which I have subscribed

FWIW, the app now seems to crash whenever I go into the settings. Not sure if that's related to the main issue (customized user settings crash) but it's kinda a bummer.

yeah I wish the guy would fix it. I want to filte rthe stuff I want to see.. oh well.

I go to settings
I enter username and password
I press save
= this works fine and I can exit and carry on.

I press on 'use account settings'
i click save
program closes
= when you reopen the login details are erased as those it has reset all data to default.

It's been three weeks now -- any ETA other than "when Apple gets to it"? Crap apps get updated weekly, so I don't know why this is taking so long.
