Inappropriate? You can't start up the application quickly and turn off the option to unselect the option either. The app immediately crashes on launch now. Epic fail, guys.
I’m sad

This is unfortunate, and a top priority fix. If you delete the app off your phone, you can redownload it for free from the app store. It will have reset the settings too, so that should give you a workaround until the bug is fixed. -
Inappropriate?I have this problem as well. However, mine resets the value back to off. I love the app but would love to be able to add other sub-reddits via the app.

Inappropriate?I am having the same issue. However, after a crash I have no problem getting back to the app.

Inappropriate? From above: "If you delete the app off your phone, you can redownload it for free from the app store. It will have reset the settings too, so that should give you a workaround until the bug is fixed."
We're working on a fix. -
Inappropriate?Same problem. Cannot set "Use Account Settings" to "On" and save my settings without the app immediately crashing. This is a dealbreaker for me guys :(
I’m irate.

Inappropriate?I've identified one source of problems, but before we submit a new version to Apple I'd like to investigate a bit more.
For anyone who's having this problem, could you please post a detailed, step by step description of the process you went through before the crash? I'm talking, pretend I'm a three year old simple instructions.
It may help to have a fresh start: delete the app (by tapping and holding your icon on it on the home screen), go to the AppStore, and redownload the app. Even though it reads $1.99, it will redownload the app for free (and it will tell you this at the very last step before it does just in case you don't believe me).
Now, carefully record (mentally or in writing) each step you take as you try to login and select the "use account settings" switch. If it crashes, post those steps here and I'll try to verify that they have been fixed with the pending update.
Thank you all so much for your help. I want to make iReddit as stable and fun to use as possible. -
Inappropriate?Alright, based on emails with a few users, and the code itself, I'm reasonably confident I've found the source of most or all of the "custom reddits" crashers.
I'll be uploading a fix immediately, hopefully it will be on the app store by the end of the week.
Sorry for the all the trouble everyone.
I’m confident

Inappropriate?confirm the same issue. that when saving or applying account setting causes iredditt to fail (crash).
a bit useless unless I can read the redditt topics to which I have subscribed
please fix.

we're waiting on apple here. unfortunately, there's nothing I can do to expedite the process. -
Inappropriate?FWIW, the app now seems to crash whenever I go into the settings. Not sure if that's related to the main issue (customized user settings crash) but it's kinda a bummer.
I’m eating Nutella in the dark, weeping.

Inappropriate?yeah I wish the guy would fix it. I want to filte rthe stuff I want to see.. oh well.
-
Damn, Apple needs to get on the ball with this crap. -
Inappropriate?I go to settings
I enter username and password
I press save
= this works fine and I can exit and carry on.
I press on 'use account settings'
i click save
program closes
= when you reopen the login details are erased as those it has reset all data to default.
Hope that helps

Inappropriate? It's been three weeks now -- any ETA other than "when Apple gets to it"? Crap apps get updated weekly, so I don't know why this is taking so long.
-
Yeah, I hate that. I get updates virtually daily for apps I don't even have on my phone anymore, but an app I'm dying to use? Weeks of waiting.... :( -
Inappropriate? In short, we had a fix uploaded for this with 48hours of our first launch. It remained "In Review" until this week, when it was rejected. We're just about to upload a new binary that should meet Apple's approval standards.
I'm sorry this has been such a frustrating process, but once this update goes live I'll be providing a more thorough (and hopefully more satisfactory) explanation on the reddit blog. -
thanks for the explanation, kn0thing. -
The company and 2 other people say
this solves the problem
-
OK, no more crashing and it sort of uses my own reddits, sort of.... How come on the "More" page it only shows 13 out of the 40 or so reddits I follow?
