when are new RTM features expected out, seems like its been forever since the actual basics of RTM have been improved upon and it seems about time for at least a small upgrade to the basics.
The web interface should allow adding due date, tags, priority inline when entering the task. Let's say I press "T" to enter a new task, I want to be able to type something like "dry cleaner tomorrow 2:00 pm s:housework, clothes p:2"
That would create a task with a due date, two tags and a priority of 2.
I saw this in another forum and couldn't have said it better myself:
pcook1980 says: "Hey All,
Love RTM and depend on it and have a request that could be helpful for those of us who are more visual learners: charts or graphs of completed tasks (or tasks to be completed).
I compartmentalize my tasks into lists on RTM that align with the major areas of responsibility in my home/work lives...It would be interesting, for example, to be able to see in a chart/graph and compare how the numbers of tasks I completed for my different job responsibilities last month or even last week to see where I need to improve or need to plan ahead...The tasks could sorted by list or tags and organized chronologically in a graph with different colors for different lists/tags or even different priorities...It might help see the bigger picture about what you're getting done vs. what you're not...
...Either that, or a way to export that data to another webapp like Swivel...
It would be really great if we could just create a smart search for Old Tasks which grabs all the tasks we've added before a a certain time period, that way we don't have to keep searching "addedBefore: 08/07/2008...
It's my first time using RTM. It has many usability flaws. However, as usability enthusiast, I try to identify what's wrong and sum up into a document so that RTM team can fix it.
RTM doesn't respond most afternoons after 4:00is (EST). I can't update the list, meaning no tasks can be postponed, completed, etc. Then when I try to go to the site it won't load. Does this mean the site is down or is it me? My connection works, should I ping the RTM server?
