Better email reminder subjects.
With the news of Sandy shutting down I would like to use Reqall more, but my problem is that the email subject lines don't specify what the task is. I want to see the task without having to open my email message because this is the easiest way for me to manage my inbox and to do list.

Inappropriate? The original post here was made 4 months ago. Was anything ever accomplished with this feature request?

Inappropriate? If you look at the email reminders in the new release, the subjects have been changed to reflect the content of the item.

Inappropriate?@Deb: Yup, I did notice this in the reminders, and I think that that is wonderful. The problem, though, is that this same functionality doesn't seem to work on an "shared" email. If I share an email with a contact the subject header they receive is: "Kirt has shared a reQall reminder with you."
For the person receiving this email this subject line isn't very informative, and I know some of my contacts who would delete it as spam.
I suggest that the subject would best be the content of the item just like reQall's reminder emails, with information about ReQall in the content body. This would have the added benefit of consistency across reminders and shared email items.
(Please Note: If this functionality is possible and I just haven't discovered a method or if your team has a policy/goal/technical reason for not crafting shared emails in this way, please let me and others know.)
Best,
Kirt -
As a follow-up, I recognize that my request is really a "new" request when one considers the original subject of this forum topic, "Better email reminder subjects." I apologize and am willing to start a new topic post if necessary. Thanks. -
Inappropriate? You're right, Kirt. We are doing this when we first tell a non-reQall user that you've shared an item with them. If we later send a reminder (based on a date/time in the item), the subject line is reQall reminder for <date />: <first>. So that one is ok. I'll put an item on our list to suggest that we change the subject on the original email. </first>
