Inappropriate?I am sorry that you are having problem with recording on iPhone. Do you see this problem occasionally or this has always been an issue? If this happens again could you please try and power off the iPhone and then power it back on and see if the "stop recording" button starts working?
Please let us know how that goes. These inputs do help us get to the bottom of the issue.
Thanks for your patience.
I’m confident we'll get this resolved.

I have only started using the reQall software a couple of days ago and it had this problem right from the start.
I have tried turning the phone off (several times) and reinstalling the package but it still doesn't work! Incidentally the save and discard buttons do not work either when it is recording. It seems that when it is recording, the only thing it will do is record! I cannot stop it!
I have an iPhone 2g running firmware version 2.1 and I am using the latest version of reQall (1.1.1) -
Inappropriate? Can we please ask you for a screenshot so we can better diagnose the problem?
Please take the screenshot of the problem screen while the recording is in progress.
To take the screenshot, press and release the Lock Sleep/Wake button while holding the Home button. Your screen will flash letting you know that the screenshot was taken. You will find this screenshot as the most recent picture in your Photos library. Please email it to us at support@reqall.com.
Thanks.
I’m thankful for your help in resolving this issue.

Inappropriate? We're still trying to figure out what is happening to you and to Larry in the related post. We haven't been able to reproduce the problem and have a couple more questions. Is your iPhone jail broken? Do you have any apps running in the background? If so, can you quit all the background apps and see if reQall becomes responsive? Thanks for your help in figuring this out.

Yes, my phone is jailbroken. No, there are no background apps running. Thanks. Lynda -
Inappropriate?Lynda, can you record audio with an app other than reQall? Would you be willing to try one? There are several "generic" audio recording apps on the App Store. One example is iTalk Recorder: http://itunes.apple.com/WebObjects/MZ...
This would help us debug where the problem is occurring, since we still can't reproduce the problem on our iPhones. Thanks for your patience and help.

Yes it does record, but it will record in reQall too so that is not the problem. The problem is stopping recording!! When I record a note in reQall, if the note is only 5 seconds long, I have to wait 25 seconds for it stop recording on it's own in which time it usually picks up some background noise etc which makes it take forever to 'type what I have said'. Also, 25 seconds can seem like a long time when you are waiting for it to finish! -
Inappropriate? Thanks for clarifying this, Lynda. We'll keep trying to figure out what is causing this. I know how frustrating it must be to have to spend 30 seconds on every note.

Inappropriate?I've got the same problem.
Details:
iPhone 2G (2.1 Firmware)
Jailbroken (QuickPWN)
No background apps that I know of running
reQall records fine (and otherwise operates perfectly), but when I try to record a new note, the app stops responding to touch. It records and the microphone volume meter works fine, but I am unable to get any of the parts of the screen to respond to touch input. (Discard doesn't work either.)
I have tried power cycling it, uninstalling/reinstalling it, nothing works. Other apps record fine.
I don't think the Jailbreak itself has anything to do with it since it worked after the Jailbreak. It may have an issue with something I installed after reQall, but it worked for a good week or so. Enough for me to get used to it and REALLY REALLY like it. :)
HELP!

Inappropriate?Jeff, I've asked the dev team for more suggestions. We still have not been able to reproduce these problems, so don't know what might be causing it. I'll see if they can suggest something and also see if their contacts at Apple have any suggestions.

Inappropriate?Looks like my problem is fixed.
I was having issues with the phone being slow to respond to key presses. I tracked down an article that suggested WinterBoard may be the problem. I removed that program (using Cydia) and the non responsive buttons, as well as this issue with reQall, went away.
YAY!
Hope this helps you or the dev team out.
