How to get OUTLOOK tasks to show up in reQall?
I sync reQall with my Outlook calendar/tasks. Items I add in reQall show up in Outlook. HOWEVER, is there any way to get tasks I add in OUTLOOK to show up in reQall??? In other words, it's not a 2-way sync, right? Is that possible?

Inappropriate?Hi Keith, you are correct reQall to Outlook is not a 2 way sync. This is currently a feature request and I have added your vote to our list.
reQall to Outlook syncs all events (items that start with the word/s "meet" or "meeting") to your Outlook calendar. Everything else, with the exception of Notes gets synced to your Outlook Tasks.
Please let me know if you have any other questions. Thanx! -
Inappropriate?I'd bump up 2-way sync for all platforms to the top of the list -- no need to be so Reqall-centric in your thinking.
I’m not so happy

Inappropriate? Thanks Rob I have added your vote!

Inappropriate?Hi Jessi
Is there a setting created by reQall in the MAPI record for the task that indicates that it is a reQall item?
A related question: if a task started life as a reQall item, and it is subsequently updated in Outlook, will it sync with reQall? What if it's deleted in Outlook -- will it also be deleted (or marked completed) in reQall?
-
Inappropriate?Hi Rob, yes. If an item is created in reQall and then synced to Outlook you can update or even delete the reQall item from Outlook and the changes will be reflected in both places. Hope this helps!

Inappropriate? There are a number of people that I work with that are still using Toodledo because of the 2-way syncronization features...otherwise they would be using ReQall.
-
Inappropriate? The capability to sync items created in Outlook is now being tested. I don't know how long it will be before we are able to release the function, but wanted you to know that it is being worked on.

Inappropriate?add me too.

Inappropriate?Thanks, Justin. Will do!
-
Inappropriate?add me as well - for current Outlook users switching to reQall, importing previous tasks is a must, as am not going to type them all over again. Thanks
-
Inappropriate?Any update on this function yet. I am interested too

Inappropriate?Oh it works. But be a bit careful. I downloaded the desk top app and it worked a bit too well.
For some odd reason, reQall does not recognize completed tasks. So, when I sync'd the first time, I recieved all my tasks from the last 6 years. Notifications was going wild, and I recieved an email for each task. I had to go and delete about 3000 emails.
If you are just starting out, I don't think this is much a problem. But I have years of history in my outlook and it imported everything.
Reqall even imported my Notes, which was pretty cool.
Just managing things wasn't as easy.
For example, I tried "test at work" and was hoping reQall would recognize "at work" and put it in places. It did not. So, for every entry that was "at work" or "at home" I would have had to edit each on individually.
I think it's pretty cool, but not quit there.
Both way sync worked and didn't. When creating anything it showed up in the other.
But, when marking something as complete it didn't quit work out. which meant I had to keep track in both places.
When marking complete in reQall, I saw the task with a strike through, but for some reason the filter did not see it as completed and I would have to manually delete it. Even when I tried marking it as complete in outlook, it did not see it as so, which forced me to delete the task when done. This meant no history for me anymore.
I love reQall and love the thought it would work great with my outlook, but it's not quit there yet.
and if you have a ton of history, the first sync will be doosey. -
Awesome post -- I think you saved many of us a lot of grief! -
I had the same problem described by Christine and received hundreds and hundreds of emails and text messages from past and future Outlook entries. I'm told by reQall that they're working on a fix, but you have to wonder why they don't recall (no pun intended) this feature until it's fixed. -
Inappropriate?Hi Bruce, we are sorry about any inconvenience. This is an issue that we expect to release a fix for in the near future.

Jessi - I've sent 2 messages to reQall support but no one has responded. Maybe you can help. To stop the onslaught of Outlook calendar text messages from being received on my iPhone, I removed reQall from my iPhone, deleted my account and canceled my subscription. If I download reQall again, how do I avoid paying the $24.99 Pro charge again? -
Jessi - I just heard from reQall support. Thanks anyway.
Regards, Bruce -
Inappropriate?Hi Bruce, sorry that I did not respond to you sooner, I was on leave. I am glad that support handled your issue.
-
Inappropriate?add my vote!! when will it be in production?
-
Inappropriate?Hi Janis, the fix for this has been released with our newest version of Outlook. Enjoy!
