Recurring ToDo
How do I make a ToDo a recurring item? I'm have lots of things I have to remember every month (um...how bout bills?) and have been using RTM for that. Reqall has a much better iPhone interface, and would like to switch over.

As everyone has probably worked out by now, reQall now supported recurring events using natural language, e.g. "buy milk every week" or "meet with Bob for one hour every month on the 1st at 4pm".
I’m happy this is implemented!

Inappropriate?"Recurring items" is a feature requested by many users. I've added your vote on this one. Thanks for sharing your thoughts with us.
I’m happy to hear that you like our iPhone interface.
-
Inappropriate?I second this feature request. Just waiting for it to be added before I switch over from RTM.
I’m hopeful
-
Inappropriate? This is a feature I've been waiting for as well. :)
-
Inappropriate?Done. Sign me up too. Recurring tasks is a must! Even if we can't do it remotely, if we could mark it as recurring when we get to the website, that would be awesome.
-
Inappropriate? This may be the number one, no-brainer lacking feature that should be added immediately...
-
Inappropriate?Add me as a voter as well. This app could be a killer with recurring tasks!
-
Inappropriate?ditto - recurring todos, even if just from the web
-
Inappropriate?Pls add my vote to your list. I really need the recurring option!
-
Inappropriate?I'm also looking for a recurring option for events
-
Inappropriate?I'm voting for this. Hard to believe it's not already in there since there are so many other great features.
-
Inappropriate?I'm a newbie and this looks like a great app. I too vote for recurring todo's. Thanks for making this app and thanks too for keeping it free. I'm impressed.
-
Inappropriate? This is my number one missing feature at ReQall.
It would be especially awesome if you could include recurrence from the time a To-Do item is marked completed... For example, if I'm reminded to water the plants on the 5th, but I don't actually do it until the 10th, the next time I'm reminded should be X days after the 10th (the last time the plants were watered), not after the 5th (the last time they *should* have been watered).
I have an RTM account, and have about 30 tasks like that just for household chores. -
Inappropriate?Ditto. This app beats the others I have tried, except for the problem around recurring todo's or lack there-of. It would add a lot from my perspective.
Keep up the good work! -
Inappropriate?Yep, I am a new user. I see that now we can add recurring items as well. reQall website says this: Recurring dates include phrases such as "every Friday," "each year on September 15th", and "every month on the second Tuesday."
reQall requires recurring dates to follow these rules:
1) The recurring date must be at the end of the item.
2) You must start the phrase with "each" or "every" followed by a time period or day of the week.
3) You can add a time after the phrase. For example, "every Friday at 7:30 p.m."
4) You can add an end date at the end of the phrase, using the word "until." For example, "every Friday at 7:30 p.m. until August 10th."
Thanks reQall for implementing this.
I’m thankful

Inappropriate?Yes, this is cool!! At first I couldn't get it to work! Til I figures out I was speling every day "everyday" duh!!
I’m blushing
-
Inappropriate? It does not process some recurring schemes correctly. If I tell reqall Do X on October 10, everything is OK, but if I say Do x on October 10 and every 90 days, it changes the first due date to november 17th!
I’m frustrated
-
Inappropriate?Maybe we all need a reQall "dictionary" or "word usage manual?"
Although reQall is very intuitive, word choice apparently does matter at times!

Inappropriate?I agree with hiramp. I can't get this feature to work correctly. I tried 'pushups every day at 6:15 pm' - didn't work. I tried 'call jeweler every Thursday at 1 pm' - didn't work.
I’m confused
-
Inappropriate?how do i add a reaccuring that is 4 times a year? or every third month? Or quarterly?
I’m sad
-
I tried to edit the accurance on the reqall website, and went to the pull down, there was nothing that was quarterly..... -
Inappropriate?Christine, since Jessica is sick I'm cleaning out GetSatisfaction items and found that we hadn't replied to this yet. The way to do this is when you create the item. You can enter "call Joe every 3 months on the 15th" or something similar. One issue that we're aware of it that you can't currently set a "first date" for the item. So you can't say "every 3 months on the 15th starting on November 15th." Anyway, give it a try and let me know if it doesn't work for you. (Crossing my fingers that you won't find a bug in this one. :-)

Inappropriate?Hi Deb,
Nope, don't think I found a bug yet.. LOL
I got this to work. Thanks, it seems to be showing up fine. I was however missing the starting date. I do have a work around though, I think.
If I want to start on Dec. 20, I've set a reminder for that date. Then on the 20th of Dec. I create the task for every third month. This work around looks like it should work.
Thanks for the reply.

Inappropriate?Hi there, Hut, a few posts above had the same question as me. What exactly do I have to say to have a reoccuring event every day. For example, "Every day at 2pm contact Scott". I haven't been able to get this to work yet. Thanks in advance for your help! cheers B
-
Inappropriate?@Datsyuk, I apologize for the delay in responding to this. The issue is that the recurring info has to be at the end of the statement. If you do "Contact Scott every day at 2 pm" it will work. Let me know if it doesn't.
-
Inappropriate?I've tried a recurring event by typing '[My recurring event] every month on the 10th', but the due date is showing for one month from today (i.e. the 27th of December) and the recurring date shows, 'every month on the 27th'.
Some help with this, please? Thank you. :-)
I’m confused
-
Inappropriate?Okay. Odd. I simply created a new one and it did it correctly the second time. Strange, but I'm pleased it's okay now. *shrugs*
I’m happier now
