In my settings I have HIDE COMPLETED ITEMS CHECKED yet completed items are showing.

Sean, where are you seeing your completed items at? The one place they should still be showing is in your reQall History. If that's not where you're seeing them, can you tell us the following:

1) What screen or screens you're seeing these on?
2) What browser you're using and the version?
3) What OS you're using and the version?
