How do I fully uninstall RescueTime from my Mac? I just downloaded it to take a look at it and decided it isn't what I need. I want to make sure that I uninstall it correctly. Thank you!
..constantly shifting from work to home I need to re-enter the proxy details whenever I log back on at work. A checkbox that enables/disables the use of a proxy would be helpful!
Currently, all of Wikipedia is tracked as a reference/search site. That's not entirely true :) I would like to know how much time I spend editing Wikipedia and how much I just use it for reference. A few simple regular expressions, such as en.wikipedia.org/*[Tt]alk:* or looking for action=edit, would do the trick ...
Wouldn't it make sense to let users split up sites themselves?
Can I see the number of times I accessed something, not just the total time? For instance, how often am I checking my email to make it add up to an hour? Is that once and working in it for an hour, or am I killing my productivity by checking every 3 minutes?
Is there a way to specify the end of the day, similar to choosing Sunday or Monday as the beginning of the week?
Namely, a lot of times I work until 5am, and I normally associate those hours with the previous day. It's all based on the idea that the day changes when I sleep, not at midnight.
Clearly not a huge issue, but what do people think?
I think this app, which I'm starting to like a lot, would benefit greatly if it tracked the document that each app is working on. instead of just the app.
No way to report things like watching movies, listening to audio...for instance:
Sometimes I will watch a movie on my computer. Currently it says I have spent 20 seconds in windows media player. The movie was 2 hours.
Sometimes I will listen to audio lectures online such as from the MIT website. It doesn't report but a couple of seconds here.
I know this is due to the program reporting that I am inactive so that it doesn't record time I may spend away from the computer, however is there not a way to have it record time regardless in case I want to capture the time that I spend doing these things also?
How can I combine different URLs under same "activity"?
I may not be clear enough, and probably this was already answered (though I wasn't able to find it) but I mean that if I browse let's say, lousy Livejournal, I have plenty of activities dude1.livejournal.com dude2.livejournal.com .... dudeN.livejournal.com and I'm kind of getting mad tagging all them with "non-work".
I wonder if you guys have (or going to implement) the feature which could gather all *.livejournal.com browsing under the same activity so I could tag it with "waste of time" and forget about it.
I tried to download and install RescueTime and it said I had to have .NET Framework 2.0. I clicked OK to download .NET Framework 2.0 and got an error that it could not find the server at Microsoft. I have gone directly to the MS download site with the same results on several days at differing times. What's going on? Does my system have a bug/virus which is preventing this download? I am running Windows XP Professional.
The weekly summary should be talking not only about the app but also about the category and tag. Even butter, we should be able to tel what kind of data we want to see in this summary and if we want them to be visual or numbers.
On the other side, it would be great to know in the summary how the ranking of apps/category/tag changed, with for exemple: "n°6: iCal (Last week: 2nd)" or with a up/down arrow, green if the app is productiv, red if not.
My work week starts on Sunday. I marked Sunday as "Start of the Week" in my settings page. I've set up a goal of "at least X hours of work per weekday". However, this goal ignores Sunday.
This looks the the perfect app. It has everything I need, except that it posts the data to the web. I NEED an app like this, but I value my privacy enough not to send the info off into cyber-space. Any chance of creating a version of RescueTime that logs and processes all the data locally? I would be happy to PAY for an app like that.
Also, often I use my computer (laptop) offline, and I still want to be able to log my usage.
I have read the privacy policy, but blind trust is not enough. I really dont need my data going out into cyber space at all.
Is there any chance of tracking idle time as a separate category?
I'm really interested in the amount of time the computer is just sitting there and doing nothing. THAT is what is really costing me money.
I'd like to be able to specify the productivity of "untagged" applications.
I don't really want to create a "not-work" tag for everything. I'd like to be able to say that all time spend in an untagged application has this productivity. This would really improve my productivity and efficient scores and give me a much more accurate idea over time.
