An error occured during the update process
I found the other posting and replaced RescueTime with the file found at <http://www.rescuetime.com/updates/Res...> which was newer. BTW, it says to email support the error log but doesn't say where the log is or where it should be sent. Perhaps you could add a mailto: tag with a link to the file to be sent. Meanwhile, I'll look around and send RescueTimeUpdateLog.txt to you.

Inappropriate? You are right, I need to add more information on how to find the updater log file during update failures.
We are working on a new updater that should resolve this issue. What is happening is that the RescueTimeStart.exe process is not properly quitting when the updater runs, so it is unable to replace that file. From the log file you sent, it looks like your RescueTime.exe did update, so you should be running the new version - however your RescueTimeStart.exe will be outdated (which should be resolved with our next update).
You can verify this by opening the RescueTime preferences and checking the version number displayed there, it should show 0.9.8.18.
If you would like, you can try the Alpha version which should resolve this issue - see this post: http://getsatisfaction.com/rescuetime...
