Inappropriate? It is possible that one of the pending log files has become corrupt and is holding up the send of all subsequent files.
You could try to move the oldest log file out of the pending directory and re-try sending an update to see if that helps.
The log files for Vista are located at:
Windows Vista:
C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\RescueTime.com\logs\pending
Let me know if that helps.

Inappropriate?that worked wonders!
i had actually many files on this folder and now the info is being uploaded to the server.....
i just checked the reports and it seems like no data was lost!!!
thank you very much for the help
by the way, the file causing the trouble is 6.8 GB!!!!!
any idea why did this happened?
I’m relieved i didnt lost data
-
Inappropriate?Wow - 6.8GB!? I was going to ask you to email me the corrupt log file to see if we could determine what was going on, but that is beyond huge.
I'm adding a issue request to make sure that we limit how large a single log file can be. I'm glad you are back up and running, and we will tighten down the process to try and prevent run-away logs like that.
I’m concerned about that log size
-
Inappropriate?hello joe
i compressed the 6.8gb file and now it is only 2mb!
where do you want me to send it? -
Inappropriate? Please send the file to: team AT rescuetime.com
Thank you - this will help us track down what is going on.
-
Inappropriate?File sent!
please confirm if you get it -
Inappropriate?Yep, I got it - I'll let you know what I find out.
Thanks again! -
Inappropriate? It appears that something threw RescueTime into a infinite loop. on 10/27 there was a "CA Anti-Virus Infection Alert" that starts a set of 4 records repeating over and over again.
I will dig into the code to see how it would be possible for that to happen.
I'm curious, was your computer actually infected with a Virus at that time - or was that a false indicator? Was there anything else that happened on your computer that was out of the ordinary during that time that you can recall?
We do have plans to rework the log generation on the Windows version of RescueTime, so this just adds more urgency to get that done.
Thank you for helping us beta test and for all of the great information!
I’m thankful for great beta testers

Inappropriate?this is what the antivirus logs show for that day

Inappropriate? That is interesting. I'm wondering if the CA Anti-Virus application somehow confused RescueTime. I will add this information to the issue and we will track it down!

Inappropriate?I am running os x leopard and I keep on getting "Stack overflow. (-2706)" and no updates, and I check on the dash board and I see none of my data.
I've reinstalled the app a couple times and still get same problem
I’m frustrated
