Can I use rescuetime on more that one machine at the same time?
I use two machines, one tends to be for personal use, email, etc. And my main laptop runs sql and vs2005. I'd like to run the app on both machines, will this work?

Linux Client:
We have a user who reverse engineered one that a lot of people are having good luck with.
Here's where you can download it: https://launchpad.net/rescuetime-linu...

Double Counting Issue:
RescueTime has a 2 minute timeout. If you're using a virtual tool to switch machines, though-- there should be no "pass off time" (if you use the RescueTime "ignore" feature to ignore Synergy). I'm assuming Synergy is like VMWare?

It certainly can! We're all multi-machine users. You can either set up two different accounts if you'd like them separately tracked or you can just have one account. Both will work!
I’m happy

Inappropriate?Great! I often use Synergy to "lash together" multiple machines. At home, one is an Ubuntu box. So, two followons-
* Any chance of an Ubuntu client?
* How bad is the double counting when the mouse passes from one machine to the next? When does RT decide you've wandered off? -

Inappropriate?thanks will check it out
Not like vmware. quick animated gif here explains - http://synergy2.sourceforge.net/about...
"With synergy, all the computers on your desktop form a single virtual screen. You use the mouse and keyboard of only one of the computers while you use all of the monitors on all of the computers. You tell synergy how many screens you have and their positions relative to one another. Synergy then detects when the mouse moves off the edge of a screen and jumps it instantly to the neighboring screen. The keyboard works normally on each screen; input goes to whichever screen has the cursor." -
Inappropriate?Got the Ununtu client installed, thanks.
Double-counting seems like a distinct possibility but I guess you guys can handle that server-side. Merging asynchronous overlapping data, fun.
Scenario: I have machines A,B connected with Synergy
12:00-12:05 - Working on machine A
12:05:12:10 - Move mouse to B, work there. Go to lunch.
From what I understand, you'd get 14 minutes reported:
12:00-12:07 - A
12:05:12:12 - B
Without clipping the 12:05-12:07 overlap, that 2 minutes is a 20% exaggeration. In reality it's very easy to bounce between machines with Synergy, just like an external monitor.
