Can you use RescueTime with mouse and keyboard sharing software?
I have dual machine setup. One is my laptop and one is my desktop. Both of them are dual-boot Mac and Windows.
I have this open source software called Synergy (http://sourceforge.net/projects/syner...) to control both machines from one keyboard and mouse.
Now obviously, the machine that has the Synergy server running has the mouse plugged in and therefor always shows mouse activity even when I am working on the other machine. Is there any way to ignore that somehow?

Wow-- really interesting case!
We're going to be implementing some tools that will allow you to delete data (for data that is wonky or erroneous) and tools that allow you to ignore certain apps (like 3rd party screensavers, SETI@home, and the like).
If it's a case of you seeing a bunch of time logged for the Synergy app (which really isn't useful for analytics) it seems like the ignore tool might do the trick.
Gives me extra incentive to work hard and get it done! Stay tuned!
I’m thankful

Inappropriate?I use synergy as well. I have RT installed on my windows machine but I synergy over to my Linux machine as well. Unfortunately you don't support linux (yet) so i don't want to delete the info but I will once you support linux.
I’m hopeful

Inappropriate?Does ignore mean, RescueTime will ignore that application and log the application being used at that time ??
Because, I think simply ignoring the data would mean the actual application being used during that time is not getting recorded which is not good!@!
I’m anxious

Inappropriate?I also use synergy to dual desktop, its a fantastic development tool! I'd love to run two copies of RT and have them report to the same account and obviously I can only use one PC at a time... If it works out that I can do this I have several employees with similar setups. I'd be happy to help test a beta version too. I run one XP system and the other system is dual boot XP and Ubuntu. sometimes I throw a laptop in the mix, either XP or OSX just depends but that happens a lot less often...
I’m excited
