Inappropriate? To remove RescueTime, you can delete the RescueTime.app file from your Applications directory.
RescueTime also creates some files in your user folder that can be removed by deleting the RescueTime folder located at:
Macintosh HD:Users:<username>:Library:RescueTime
Sorry it didn't work out for you!

Inappropriate?alas, i can't... first of all, for some reason, RescueTime doesn't show up in my Applications folder. Even when I search on it and find it, and drag it into my Trash, it says that "This operation cannot be completed because you do not have sufficient priveleges for 'RescueTime'".
this may because I need to update my MacOSX permissions? or is there something within RescueTime I need to fix?
the only reason I was deleting is that I kept getting bug/error messages, and I could get the beta file to upload to fix, so then I tried to delete (with the intent to reinstall), but I can't delete so now I'm all sorts of frustrated. boo.

Inappropriate? It sounds like RescueTime was never copied into your Applications folder. This could be because you are running RescueTime directly from the downloaded disk image (which would also explain why it is not working for you).
On your desktop, you should see a disk icon that says RescueTime, drag that to the Trash to eject the disk image.
The steps to installing RescueTime are:
1. Download the RescueTime installer from: http://www.rescuetime.com/installers/...
2. Double Click on the RescueTimeInstaller.dmg file after it has downloaded to your computer
3. That should open a window that shows the RescueTime application icon along with an icon to your local Applications folder. Drag the RescueTime icon on top of the Applications folder icon to install RescueTime.
4. Eject the RescueTime disk image by dragging the disk icon named RescueTime to the Trash (located on your desktop, probably just under the Macintosh HD icon)
5. You should now be able to run the RescueTime application by opening your Applications folder and double clicking the RescueTime icon from there.
Let me know if that gets you back up and running! If so, we'll make sure to get better installation instructions up on our site!
Thank you
