Does RescueTime stop logging when my computer is inactive?
However, I checked the dashboard this morning and discovered that it now had 24 hours of logged app use. I leave my computer on over night (just switch off the monitors) and it seems to have continued to log.
Halfway through the night I had an update notification from Apple Updater, so I now have 8 hours of iTunes logged since yesterday morning, despite not touching the machine.
Is this how the logging works at the moment, or have I done something daft?

Oh, and if you wanted to you could use the handy "delete" functionality in RescueTime-- you can delete your iTunes data for the offending day... Won't make your data entirely accurate, but it'll certainly be more accurate than 8 hours of nocturnal iTunes usage!
I’m annoyed at iTunes.

It does looks like the iTunes update notification caused this issue. For some reason RT was not seeing the machine as "idle" while this updater notification was up. What's more, the updater seemed to refresh every 30 minutes, so RT tracked iTunes as being used pretty much continuously all night long.
I'm going to do a bit of data research to see if this has happened in the past with iTunes updates. Hopefully we can get a fix in place soon.
Thanks!

Inappropriate? That is a bug! RescueTIme is supposed to be smart about detecting idle time. We'll look into it. Thanks for the heads up.
