Erroneous download tracking
It seems that some of my downloads is logged as sites I look at, like 3h on surfnet.dl.sourceforge.net... I use Firefox with Download statusbar.

Inappropriate?I will get the Download statusbar installed to see what might be going on there. RescueTime looks at the active window, so my guess is that they window title of that statusbar is active and changing while your download is occurring.
After 2 minutes of no keyboard of mouse activity, RescueTime should stop recording, but if the statusbar plugin is preventing the machine from going idle RescueTime won't know it's not a user at the computer instead of a plugin causing the keyboard actions.
Just a guess at the moment, we'll dig into it to see what we can find.
Thank you! -
Inappropriate?I have the same issue - any progress on this?

Inappropriate?I just sent a 'Quick Feedback' from my RescueTime dashboard about this a few days ago. I've noticed since then that everytime I download a file, long after it has been downloaded, RescueTime will track all my Firefox time as the downloaded file.
Now if I want my URLs tracked correctly, I have to restart Firefox after downloading a file. (Good thing FF 3 saves my tabs!)
I am using FF 3.03 and have Download Statusbar 0.9.6.3

Inappropriate?I downloaded the Download Statusbar application and I can reproduce the above issues.
The issue is that when RescueTime requests the URL from Firefox, the Download Statusbar responds back before Firefox will, so RescueTime continues to get the last URL that Download Statusbar contains.
Unfortunately, I haven't yet found a way to work around this, but I have it listed as something to continue looking into so hopefully we can find a solution for you guys. -
Inappropriate? Thanks for the quick reply! Hope a solution comes up :)

Inappropriate?Hi, to update on this problem... I noticed that for a week or so, I didn't have further problems with these despite downloading several files. However today I noticed while downloading a file from SourceForge that it was tracking my download again. Is this significant? Hope it helps :)
