ignore apps like screensavers (screen savers?), SETI at home, etc.
Just got some amazing feedback from an amazing beta tester.
Her screensaver was logging as an app (it's called Slickr). Seems like it'd be wise to have user controls (maybe on the manage tags screen) for a user to select an app to be "ignored forever". This would also probably be handy for pr0n. It wouldn't ignore it on the data collector side, but would ignore it for reporting purposes.
Note that we also want a feature to allow users to nuke any (or all) of their data.

Inappropriate?@tony: Yeah, would be cool to have the possibility to select apps to be ignored for reporting.. - and nuke data, great idea, although it's "cheating" - I'll probably end up deleting/nuking all the time I've wasted, and leave the reports with 95% of the time spent on productive tasks... hmm.. that'll look good! :) Sorry, I'm that kind of person.. _Possibilities_ to do stuff, like nuking, are never wrong though... :)
Btw, what kind of freaky people want to track their time while surfing pr0n?! Hit ctrl+alt+l, turn on stealther in fx and finish it up..!
I’m happy

Inappropriate?I agree, I have a program that shows up called "Java application stub" it doesn't log a ton of time, but I have no clue what it is (I kinda think it has something to do with OpenOffice). So it's useless for trying to get a quick sense of my data. I would, however, like it to keep logging that time, so if I ever figure it out in the future I can "un-ignore" it, because at that point it will be more relevant.

Inappropriate?i want to add a plug for this too. Right now I'm using parallels on a mac which loads a windows xp installation that has its own rescue time instance running. it works great except that the parallels app itself shows up in the list. i would imagine the same could be said for things like remote desktop clients...
I’m thankful this stuff works so well
