Is there a way to associate different instances of an Application with unique tags?

I use 'Terminal' to ssh into various computers, and would like to track how much time is spent on each remote computer by assigning tags to each site.

I've tried to make aliases of the 'terminal' program and then start each one depending on which remote computer I'm going to go to...but this doesn't really seem to be reliable.

I think this is similar to a problem that someone reported with all java programs being reported as 'java', but am not sure. I'm on Mac OSX.

Any suggestions?

Does the window title differ uniquely when you're using terminal for accessing different servers? If so, I've got a way to may them more disctictly taggable.

I have the same problem and yes, my window terminal name does change. I'm interested in hearing your solution.

RescueTime allows you to turn on or off window title tracking. (privacy tab) If your titles differ, you should be able to tag them differently, set productivity, etc.

Adam, could you elaborate? I do not have "Do not record Window Titles" checked in my RescueTime preferences.

However, when I look at my data for today, I don't see my time in terminal segregated by window title. Its lumped together under 'Terminal'.

How does window title tracking work though? I have it enabled (unchecked) yet I'm not seeing any document specific data yet.
